SwanCare

SwanCare Caring for WA seniors since 1961, SwanCare is a full service not-for-profit aged care community.

The first residents embraced SwanCare living (then known as Swan Cottage Homes) in 1961, shaping the future of the not-for-profit and registered charity, which has become one of Western Australia’s leading providers of quality retirement living and aged care. More than 1,000 residents call SwanCare’s Bentley Park home, residing in one of four aged care centres or in the vibrant retirement living c

ommunity. The 15 hectare site is WA’s largest all-in-one retirement and aged care campus, including SwanCare at Home and services such as cafes, hairdressers, doctors, grocery store, and a leisure precinct with gym, pool, bowling green, and more. SwanCare also operates Australind Rise, a boutique retirement village situated by the Leschenault Inlet, only 1.5 hours south of Perth. The tight knit community enjoys social catch ups and quiet leisure facilities. SwanCare offers an engaging community and endeavours to enrich the lives of their residents. The company strives to provide a caring community where every person feels safe and has the freedom and choice to live the life they desire.

Yamas to a delicious day at Ningana!✨

Our residents recently took a tasty trip to Greece with a food experience full of flavour, laughter and great conversation. From chatting about favourite Greek dishes to learning the secrets behind classic cuisine, there was plenty to savour along the way.

The highlight? A live demonstration of how to make tzatziki from scratch! From the cool yoghurt to the fragrant herbs, residents loved getting involved and enjoying the sensory journey of mixing, tasting and sharing.

It was a joyful session that brought everyone together, sparked memories and created a few new favourites too. Who knew a little garlic, yoghurt and good company could go such a long way!

April Fool’s Day shouldn’t have all the fun, now should it? 😄

Turns out the 1st of May is International No Pants Day - a tongue‑in‑cheek celebration where participants swap out pants for shorts or other fun attire, just to break a few social norms, embrace silliness and spark a smile or two.

Now, while this may be slightly frowned upon in most professional settings 😉, for those of you without work commitments today… why not, we say?!

Here’s to not taking life too seriously and finding moments of lighthearted fun wherever we can. 👖✌️

SwanCare is proud to be part of such a meaningful program and grateful for our wonderful community partnerships with Boronia and Cycling Without Age - Perth. Each week, these incredible pilots bring joy not only to those enjoying the rides, but also to everyone across campus who gets to witness these heartwarming moments.

🚴‍♀️ A Special Collaboration Bringing Joy to the Community 💙

We are incredibly proud of our partnership with the Boronia Pre Release Program and SwanCare , working together to bring the joy of trishaw rides to more people than ever before!

Since the beginning of this collaboration, we’ve seen 8 Boronia participants trained as trishaw pilots, who have collectively pedalled for an incredible 70 hours, providing 258 unforgettable rides to seniors and community members. 🌿🚲

This partnership is about more than just cycling—it’s about connection, community, and making a difference. Through this program, Boronia participants gain valuable skills and a chance to give back, Swancare residents experience the freedom of the outdoors, and our entire community benefits from inclusivity, kindness, and shared joy. 💛

🌟 Together, we are changing lives—one ride at a time! 🌟

Across SwanCare, we paused together to honour our ANZACs and their families.

Our care centres held a heartfelt ANZAC service while our retirement village gathered at dawn on Saturday to remember those who served and sacrificed followed by tea and toast together. It was a time of connection, quiet reflection and respect for the courage and legacy that lives on through generations.

As we mark this important day of remembrance, please note our administration office is closed today.

Lest we forget.

Today we pause to remember the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all who have worn the uniform. We honour their courage, resilience and quiet strength, and we hold close the families who carry that legacy every day. May we remember with gratitude, reflect with humility and carry their spirit forward in how we care for one another.

The end of an era 💙

Today we farewell SwanCare’s much‑loved and long‑serving receptionist, Ronnie Deans, as she hangs up her badge and steps into a very well‑deserved retirement.

Ronnie began her journey with SwanCare nearly 24 years ago as a carer, later moving into administration and ultimately becoming the welcoming face of our organisation. For the past 20 years, Ronnie’s smile has been the first thing many saw when stepping out of the lift - and what a smile it is.

With that warmth came incredible knowledge, genuine compassion and a fantastic sense of humour that made everyone feel at home.

Ronnie, while we’ll miss seeing you every day, we’ll always be grateful for the guidance, care and kindness you’ve shown to every person who walked through our doors. We wish you nothing but happiness as you begin this exciting new chapter.

Enjoy every moment, you’ve certainly earned it! 🌸

Throwback to Harmony Week at SwanCare 🌏

From parades to cultural feasts, our community came together to celebrate what makes us unique. Staff and residents welcomed the opportunity to share their cultures, with many donning traditional dress and delighting residents with a show and tell from countries such as China, India, the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, Bhutan and Colombia.

With a delicious variety of cultures to sample, including some good Aussie classics, even our Support Office morning tea was a reminder that connection, respect and belonging sit at the heart of the SwanCare community. 💛

Who loves Easter? We do!‍👩‍🦳👨‍🦳

We’re wrapping up our wonderful Easter celebrations that spread joy not only across the village but throughout all of our residential aged care centres. EB himself made special appearances, bringing plenty of smiles and chocolate cheer for everyone to enjoy.

It was a beautiful reminder of childhood magic, shared memories and the strong sense of community that fills our halls 🐣🌷

06/04/2026

From our community to yours, we’re wishing you a happy and safe Easter 🌸🐣

May it be filled with joy, connection, and time with those who matter most.
