This morning our team participated in an R U OK? presentation, led by our Mount Gambier Medicare Mental Health manager and R U OK ambassador, Tracey Wanganeen.

The session provided an opportunity to reflect on the roles we each play in ensuring we remain a safe and supportive space for our staff and community.

It served as a timely reminder of the importance of checking in, starting conversations and supporting one another.

FREE – Fill Your Silo: Navigating Tough Seasons 🌾

Farming life can be rewarding – but it can also be relentless. If your “silo” is running low, this free, down-to-earth wellbeing session is for you.

Join psychologist and farmer Steph Schmidt in the Riverland for an evening exploring stress, wellbeing and simple tools to look after ourselves and those around us. You’ll also have the chance to connect with Rural Business Support and FaB Mentor representatives.

Monday, the FocusOne Health Healthy Habits team visited the Mount Gambier Library to meet with participants in the New ROADS program. It was a fantastic session filled with great conversations and practical tips on healthy eating on a budget!

💬 Participants shared that they enjoyed learning how to make better food choices and walked away with handy hints for shopping smart and healthy.

FocusOne Health is seeking a Client Services & Communication Officer to be the friendly face and voice of our organisation while supporting our communications, client services, and special projects. This role will be based out of our Berri office.

In this varied role, you’ll:

- Greet clients and visitors and manage our busy front reception
- Answer calls, process mental health and general health referrals, and handle client documentation
- Provide accurate data entry and maintain records within established procedures
- Assist with special projects and organisational initiatives
- Create engaging social media content and promotional materials
- Support communication campaigns to strengthen our community presence

You’ll bring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to juggle reception duties with creative and administrative projects. Experience in customer service, data entry, social media management, or design will be highly regarded.

Some great tips for talking about bullying.

Bullying No Way Week (11–15 August) is a reminder of the important role we all play in preventing bullying and supporting young people who may be affected by it.

It’s not always easy to know what to say or do, but creating a culture of trust and sharing at home can help your young person feel heard and supported.

Here are a few tips to guide a conversation about bullying

✅ Listen without judgment
✅ Encourage speaking up
✅ Work on strategies together
