Think calcium = dairy? 🥛 Think again!

Dairy isn’t the only option. Plant-based sources can contribute meaningfully to daily intake — especially when consumed consistently across the day.

Calcium plays a role in:
🟢 Bone mineral density
🟢 Muscle contraction
🟢 Nerve transmission
🟢 Blood clotting

Calcium needs don’t stop after childhood — adults require around 1,000–1,300 mg daily depending on age and s*x.

If you avoid dairy or reduce it, variety matters.
And remember — vitamin D, weight-bearing exercise, and adequate protein all support bone health too. 🦴

Did you know traditional dry cleaning often uses chemicals like perchloroethylene (PERC)?

Exposure to these solvents has been linked to:
🟢 Headaches and dizziness
🟢 Skin and eye irritation
🟢 Hormonal disruption
🟢 Increased cancer risk with long-term exposure (especially for workers)

While occasional contact from clothing is low risk, regular exposure in poorly ventilated spaces — or occupational exposure — is more concerning.

If you’re sensitive to chemicals, pregnant, or managing chronic illness, consider:
🧥 Airing clothes 24 hours before storing away or wearing
🧥 Choosing “wet cleaning” services
🧥 Asking your local cleaner about PERC-free options

Small environmental choices can support long-term health.

Welding fumes are classified as cancer-causing.

Long-term exposure increases the risk of:
🟢 Lung cancer
🟢 Kidney cancer
🟢 Possibly bladder cancer

The risk applies to all types of welding — not just stainless steel.

In regional communities like ours, many people work in trades, agriculture, and fabrication. Proper ventilation and correct respiratory protection really matter.

Your health at work matters just as much as your health at home.
