Happy Easter from AI Hearing 🐰🌼
We hope your Easter is filled with joy, laughter, and time with loved ones.

Did you know?
Rabbits have amazing hearing and can detect sounds well beyond human ability. Their ears are so sensitive that they may pick up sounds from up to 2 miles away, which helps them stay alert to danger.

Wishing our community a safe and happy Easter.

Come and see us at the Barmera Easter Twilight Market — feel free to say hi at the booth!

Hearing Care 101 with AI Hearing
Today we talk about hearing aid batteries.

There are 4 common battery types:
Yellow – Size 10
Brown – Size 312
Orange – Size 13
Blue – Size 675

Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Carry a few spare batteries with you if needed, but do not keep a large amount in hot places like a glove box.

Before using a battery, check for rust or damage. If there is any concern, change to another battery. After removing the sticker, leave the battery for 1 minute before using it so it can fully activate.

Do You Know?
Ear wax is made by your ears to help protect them. It traps dust, dirt, and small particles, keeps the ear canal healthy, and usually moves out naturally.

Sometimes wax can build up and cause blockage. This can happen more easily with farming dust, narrow ear canals, hearing aids or earplugs, cotton tips, or if your ears simply produce more wax than usual.

If your ears feel blocked or your hearing seems reduced, ear wax may be the reason.

Good afternoon everyone.
Hot days can sneak up fast — please take care in this heat. If you can, stay indoors, keep hydrated, and spend time in a cool, shaded or air-conditioned place.

Hearing aid tip for hot weather:
Hearing aid batteries are generally rated to be stored around 10–30°C. Leaving them in hot spots (especially car glove boxes, centre consoles, dashboards, or a parked car in general) can get way hotter than the outside temperature — and that heat can shorten battery life and affect performance.

Quick habits that help

Keep spare batteries inside the house (cool, dry spot), not in the car

If you’re out, store them in a bag/wallet with you rather than the glove box

Avoid direct sunlight on battery packs and hearing aid cases

Stay cool and safe out there ☀️

Do you know?
Tinnitus can sound like ringing, buzzing, or hissing — and it can make conversations and meals feel exhausting. You’re not alone, and support is available.

Tinnitus often comes with some level of hearing loss. The encouraging news is that improving hearing can also make tinnitus feel less noticeable —Approximately 70% of hearing-aid users notice meaningful improvement when using hearing aids for tinnitus management. Some devices may also include gentle sound therapy, tailored by an audiologist.

As a local Riverland hearing service, AI Hearing is here for ongoing support and fine-tuning. Message us or call 0436 016 973 for a quick chat about options.

Do you know?

Modern hearing aids can be incredibly discreet — including CIC (completely-in-canal) styles that sit deep in the ear and are barely noticeable by others. For many people, there are also rechargeable options, so you can simply charge overnight and enjoy convenient, all-day use without worrying about changing batteries.

If you’re curious what a small, comfortable (and rechargeable) option could look like for you, message AI Hearing or call 0436 016 973 to book a hearing check or a quick chat.
