When floods occur, the impact goes far beyond homes, roads and property. Events like this can also take a significant toll on people’s emotional wellbeing. Stress, worry, exhaustion and feeling overwhelmed are very common responses during and after natural disasters.

Today is International Women’s Day, a chance to recognise the incredible women who deliver care to our Darwin Rural Community. Im honoured to work along side such a skilled group of strong, resilient women who make such a difference in the lives of our community. We work hard, we support each other, we are each others champion, we have a lot of fun and believe it or not we often have hard days when we shead many tears.

One of our wonderful clinicans is caught up in the Katherine flooding. This will impact her scheduled appointments early next week. We will be in touch over the coming days to offer alternatives. We do have a number of clinicans available on Monday and Tuesday, however we do understand if you choose to remain with the same clinican.
