WRAPPING UP WINTER | good and proper!

🌧 It was a chilly and wet day for our final romp in the bushland this winter cycle. The children were determined to get the fire going and brewed hot chocolate. We built shelters from the rain + invented games, potions and artwork to bring back the sunshine. In the quiet moments, we spied native scorpions and spiders - love how these eco-sensitive wild ones respond with cautious curiosity, not fear, to critters.

🌳 The forest has held us so beautifully over winter. Thank you to the generous landowner who share it with us. It is time to let the land rest, and mud dry out!

🌸 Next week we are heading to the beach to explore flowers in bud, botanically dying and all things sunny (we hope!).

COMPETENCY | the knowledge and skill to do something well

Nature Play young ones learn how to tend to fire, manage risk, use real tools, prepare their own food and keep themselves safer.

BUSH TRIBE | our late winter cycle has begun. There are two spots left for young learners to explore the bush, bake by the fire and learn about bushland ecosystems.

CONNECTION | time to be still and with each other

There is nothing quite like the eye-to-eye contact, the biological co-regulating, the quiet of listening to each other's words.

A WONDERLAND | a glimpse of bush camp

Renowned photographer joined a Nature Play session and captured moments of wonder.

Children will be gathering to explore, learn and play at bush camp over the Winter Holidays. Full day, drop-off sessions in Berry.
