๐ŸŒŸ CUPPING THERAPY โญ๏ธ

At Mind Body Baby, cupping therapy is often integrated into pregnancy and postnatal remedial massage treatments due to its ability to enhance treatment outcomes.

๐ŸŒฑ Soft silicone cups are typically used during pregnancy and scar release therapy, while firmer suction may be applied to relieve deeper muscle tension or when combined with gentle range-of-motion exercises.

๐ŸŒฑ Treatments are always tailored to your individual needs and comfort, supporting your body to move more freely, reduce tension, and feel more at ease throughout pregnancy and postnatal recovery.

๐ŸŒผ Labour isnโ€™t meant to be managed โ€” itโ€™s meant to be supported.

๐ŸŒธ Intermittent monitoring can support a more intuitive, physiological labour by allowing freedom of movement and fewer interruptions. It creates space for women to walk, sway, rest, change positions, or use water for comfort โ€” responding to what their body needs in each moment.

๐ŸŒผ When the body feels supported rather than restricted, itโ€™s often easier to soften, stay calm, and work with each surge. For many women, this sense of autonomy builds trust โ€” in their body, their baby, and the natural rhythm of labour.

๐ŸŒธ Birth doesnโ€™t require constant interference to be safe. Often, it simply needs time, presence, and the right conditions to unfold.

๐Ÿคฐ Preparing your body for birth helps you move, breathe, and respond with strength and calm through labour.

๐ŸŒผ Here are our top birth preparation tips:

โ€ข Move regularly โ€“ gentle exercise boosts strength, endurance, and circulation for labour.

โ€ข Maintain hip & pelvic mobility โ€“ helps your baby descend and rotate more easily.

โ€ข Strengthen core, glutes & back โ€“ supports effective pushing and reduces fatigue.

โ€ข Release tension โ€“ gentle stretches or massage for lower back, hips, neck, and shoulders improve comfort.

โ€ข Practice breathing & mindfulness โ€“ diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation techniques support mental focus and endurance.

โ€ข Remedial massage & bodywork โ€“ softens areas of tension, alleviates discomfort, calms your nervous system, and helps your baby navigate the birth space more easily.

โœจ Feel calm, relaxed, and prepared for your birth โ€” Book a Bodywork for Birth session via the link in bio!

โฑ๏ธ Epidural Timing - Early vs. Active Labour

๐ŸŒฟ Have you heard of Myofascial Release (MFR)?

Itโ€™s a gentle, hands-on technique designed to release restrictions within the fascia โ€” the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body.

During pregnancy, changes in posture, hormones, and muscle tension can cause the fascia to tighten, leading to discomfort or reduced mobility.

After birth, these restrictions may contribute to ongoing pain, tension, or limited movement โ€” particularly around the abdomen, pelvis, and shoulders.

Through slow, sustained pressure, MFR helps to:
๐Ÿ’ซ Reduce pain and muscle tension
๐Ÿ’ซ Improve movement and circulation
๐Ÿ’ซ Support scar healing (including C-section scars)
๐Ÿ’ซ Restore balance and alignment in the body

This gentle, mindful approach can be deeply restorative โ€” helping you feel more at ease as your body adapts through pregnancy and recovery.

โœจ Available as part of pregnancy and postnatal massage at Mind Body Baby.
