2025's theme is “One big family, driven by hope”, and encourages us to consider ourselves and our own families as part of a larger, interconnected family bound by “shared experiences, responsibility and commitment to each other”. ⁠

The Buttery's Residential Rehabilitation embraces the concept of Therapeutic Community.

What are we talking about? One that relies on a self-help approach within a supportive community environment. In fact, the ability to recover is often directly related to the support of an understanding group. It’s about offering a safe, nurturing space that fosters personal growth and behavioural change so that people can realise a sense of self-worth, learn the living skills that we often take for granted and take their place in society.

With a footprint that stretches from Tweed Heads to Port Macquarie, The Buttery has been able to help thousands of people across the NSW North Coast with our programs. Since 1973, we have provided residential services to more than 10,000 people, and community outreach programs to 20,000.
