Farewell to Woodburn Safe Haven North Coast!

On October 17, the Woodburn community came together to celebrate the final day of Woodburn Safe Haven, a gathering filled with gratitude and reflection. The space was a welcoming refuge, a place of compassion, understanding, and hope for those facing life’s challenges.

Our deepest thanks to the incredible staff, participants, and wider community for making Woodburn Safe Haven such a warm and vital part of the town. Though its doors have closed, its legacy of kindness, connection, and care will live on in the hearts of all who were part of it.

Today is World Mental Health Day. It offers a chance to raise awareness of mental health issues and mobilise efforts to provide bigger and better support for people globally This year, the theme is Connect with your Community. Community can take any shape, from friends, loved ones, work peers, volunteers, team mates, you name it - it’s those people who make you feel safe, seen, and heard. This year encourages us all to reach out and reconnect to those we consider our community, opening conversations around mental health, reducing stigma, and offering support.
