🚗✨ Road Tripping through Avon Valley 🌿🏡

Just had the most amazing road trip through the pAvon Valley! 🌾 This region is a hidden gem filled with farm gate producers, cute bakeries, and beautifully vintage buildings.

First stop was a quaint little farm where we picked up some fresh, organic produce straight from the source. Nothing beats the taste of locally grown fruits and veggies with fresh wood fired sourdough bread with our stop in the Swan Valley.

Next, we came upon a cozy bakery that had the most yummiest vegetarian pies in Toodyay. The aroma alone was worth the visit, and the flavours? Absolutely delicious.

We also explored some stunning vintage buildings that took us back in time in York. The history and stories embedded in those walls were fascinating, making the whole experience even more enriching.

If you’re looking for a road trip filled with scenic beauty, delicious local food, and a touch of history, Avon Valley should definitely be on your list! 🌟

Nothing like warm sun on my skin and swimming with seagulls as my buddies in the pool. If you can work from anywhere, why not find a sunny spot on a lunch break and get some movement in.

We had a great road trip adventure through to the Morawa, where we spent a couple of days visiting my sister.

Great down time to let the mind actively create and flow out in the red dirt country.

In the meantime….

You might have noticed the business name change. The name change aligns more with vision. With my goals.

Bringing greater and vibrant health coaching with a slight difference with the same values.

Over the coming months I’m rebranding, reinventing and recreating while networking connections.

Watch this space for up and coming changes, that I’m pretty motivated and excited about.

Working in an office is the new smoking ci******es. Simply put, the sitting disease.

Excessive sitting is a major risk on our health. Whilst sitting for 1 hour might seem harmless, a lot of people working in an office are sitting up to the average work day of 7.5 hours.

You multiple 7.5 hours by a full time 5 day week for 20 days per month for 11 months of the year (let’s deduct 4 weeks annual leave), that’s a whopping 1,650 hours per year we are sitting at a desk. Add in the average 1 hour per day we spend commuting and then couch time when are at home. This really starts to add up right?

This sitting disease impacts our health in ways such as obesity, cardiovascular disease & high blood pressure, eye strain, poor mental health, increased risk of type 2 diabetes and weak gluteals (our bum muscles) which include impacting our lower back, hips, knees and ankles.

Not everyone has the choice or wants to just give up their job in an office.

So how do we help support our bodies and mind for better health at the desk?

- take regular breaks
- have walking meetings
- walk and talk on the phone
- stretch at your desk regularly
- take the stairs
- walk or bike to work
- opt for a standing desk option
- do some desk exercises

Both your mind and body will thank you for doing some of the tips above consistently and you may even find you smile a lot more at work and you feel more energised to be productive.
