Every child develops in their own way and in their own time. 🌱🧩💛

Sometimes, though, it can be hard to know whether a milestone reflects a different pace of development or whether some additional support may be helpful.

At Look Who’s Talking, our team can support children and families by assessing areas of concern, identifying strengths and providing tailored strategies to encourage development, participation and confidence in everyday life. 💛

If you would like to learn more about how we may be able to support your child, get in touch with our team or visit our website.

Speech therapy is not only for children. For older adults, support can help with communication changes related to ageing, neurological conditions, or recovery after illness, so everyday interactions feel easier, clearer and more connected. 💬🤍

If you or someone you care about may benefit from personalised support, our team is here to help.

Communication is part of health - at every age. 💬

We recognise the important role communication plays in daily life, from expressing needs and connecting with others to participating in everyday activities and feeling understood. It supports independence, relationships, and emotional wellbeing across early childhood, the school years, adulthood, and older age. 🌱

If you’ve noticed changes in communication, swallowing, or connection for yourself, your child, or someone you support, our team is here to help you take the next step.

At Look Who’s Talking, our committment to life-long learning never stops! ✨

We’re passionate about investing in our team, because when our team grows, so do the opportunities for the families we support. Ongoing professional development and upskilling aren’t just important to us, they’re part of who we are!

Yesterday, our incredible MDT team came together to run an Upskilling Essentials Workshop for our Allied Health Assistants (AHA), focusing on:
• Building strong therapeutic relationships
• Case discussions and collaborative problem-solving
• Speech sound resources
• Creating meaningful AHA home packs

It was a morning full of connection, shared knowledge, and practical learning - because we truly believe that together is better!

And of course, we had plenty of fun along the way… because fun fuels growth! 💛

🎵 Words may fade… music remains.

For adults experiencing cognitive decline, communication challenges, or physical disability, finding ways to connect can become harder. Music therapy offers a powerful, non-verbal pathway to support expression, memory, movement, and emotional wellbeing when words are no longer easy to access.

At Look Who’s Talking, our music therapy services create meaningful moments of connection in aged and disability care settings. Whether delivered one-to-one or in group programs within aged care facilities, music becomes a shared language, supporting quality of life, identity, and belonging.

What goes into planning a session for OT? 🤔

No 2 sessions are the same, because no 2 clients are the same. That's what personalised, strength-based OT looks like. 💛

Thought-out planning, which considers how to motivate and engage as well as stay functional. This might look like:
🎯 Goal-focused activities tailored to your child
🧠 Sensory supports for regulation and attention
✍️ Fine and gross motor skill development
🗣️ Practice social skill-building and confidence

↔️ Swipe to see what tools we're including, sensory supports and skill-building activities we use.
