We have two wonderful events next week for our clients to wrap up March and our first month as Dovida. If you or your loved one are a client of ours and would like to attend, give our office team a call to book in ❤️

Tuesday 25th March
Enjoy a nice morning tea at the popular Wellington Point Farm, purchase some beautiful produce from the farm shop. Client
and CAREGiver to pay for own refreshments.
Where: The Farm Wellington Point, 625 Main Road Wellington Point
When: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Thursday 27th March
Come and enjoy Lunch with Friends, our biggest event of the month. Client to pay for own refreshments. Caregiver lunch is paid for by Dovida.
Where: Alexandra Hills Hotel, 332 Finucane Rd Alexandra Hills
When: 11:30am - 1:00pm
To secure your spot or arrange a Caregiver, please call our office on 07 3245 5517. Availability is subject to change, so it’s important to secure your place promptly. Please note that clients are responsible for covering entry fees and expenses for food/drinks/parking on the day where applicable.

As we prepare for the impact of Cyclone Alfred, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the dedication, care, and support our office team has shown in the past few days. Your commitment to both our clients and caregivers has been truly inspiring, and we are incredibly lucky to have such a compassionate and resilient team.

Supporting Our Clients:
Over the last two days, we’ve ensured our clients feel supported and safe by:
✅ Providing emotional reassurance and checking in regularly.
✅ Letting them know we will follow up post-cyclone to offer assistance.
✅ Reminding them our phone lines are monitored 24/7 (but to call 000 or SES in an emergency).
✅ Assisting with shopping and securing outdoor items.
✅ Alerting families to ferry closures—helping one family in particular relocate their loved one just in time!
✅ Liaising with families in flood-prone areas to set up backup plans.
✅ Simply letting our clients know they’re not alone.

Supporting Our Caregivers:
We have also been mindful of the impact on our caregivers, showing empathy and understanding around their decisions regarding shifts. Our focus has been on:
✅ Prioritising essential shifts while ensuring our clients are supported.
✅ Balancing the needs of both caregivers and clients.
✅ Reducing non-essential shifts where possible.
✅ Ensuring our team knows we are here for them 24/7.

This has been a true team effort, and we are beyond grateful for the way everyone has come together.

We have two fantastic events planned next week for our clients and their CAREGivers to kick off March. If you or your loved one are a Home Instead client and would like to join in, please don't hesitate and give our wonderful office team a call 💜

Wednesday March 5th - What a lovely day this will be, slow walk around the exhibitions, Aboriginal art, beautiful small
figurines, international art with much more. Free entry for Client and CAREGiver. Cafe available- Client and CAREGiver to pay for own refreshments.
Where: Art Museum QAGOMA Brisbane, Parking under Cultural Ctr Stanley Place, Brisbane. $17.90 Client pays parking.
Meet outside cultural Centre entrance
When: 10:00am - 2:30pm

Friday March 7th - Enjoy a relaxing lunch with others, looking at lovely views of the golf course. Client and CAREGiver to pay for own refreshments.
When: 11:30am - 2:00pm
