What if the tension you’re carrying now didn’t start in adulthood?
We often think stress is just about what’s happening now… work, relationships, health, day-to-day life.
But your body holds onto experiences far beyond the present moment. In fact, many of the emotional stressors we carry in adulthood started in childhood or adolescence, especially if they weren’t seen, acknowledged, or supported at the time.
Here are some examples of what the body might be holding:
In childhood:
-Not feeling loved or emotionally safe
-Being scolded, ignored or shamed
-Instability at home or school
-Feeling unseen, unheard, or like a burden
-Bullying, abuse, or disharmony in the family
In adolescence:
-Peer pressure, exclusion, or identity struggles
-Low self-esteem or body image issues
-Depression, anxiety, or social media stress
-Study demands, financial strain, and family conflict
-Unprocessed trauma or emotional overwhelm
These experiences don’t just live in the mind - they can live in the body too.
And until they’re released, they may continue to show up as physical tension, emotional blocks, or a general feeling of being ‘off’ - even if you can’t explain why.
The good news is: You don’t need to relive or talk through these moments to release them.
