After eight years in the ground, our Amalaki trees have fruited for the first time - they were planted from seeds by a friend!

Amalaki is a powerhouse in Ayurveda.

Also know as Amla, Amla is an immune booster, it can help to regulate blood sugars, protects and strengthens the liver and is a tonic for the brain.

It cools Pitta in the body, so no wonder it fruits in late Summer when we need to cool excessive heat in our bodies.

It’s also one of the three powerful herbs that makes up Triphala - one of Ayurveda’s herbal medicines that supports all three phases of digestion.

We might leave these little beauties this year and start to harvest them next year.

Honey, honey! 🐝

Golden Summer Sundara honey!

The Sundara bees have been busy and today we harvested 11litres of honey from one of our hives.

We offer guests lemon and honey water as part of our morning routine. The honey is always from our bees.
