Hi this is second part of transgender/trans-people video.
Transcript start
Hi, part two of topic on transgender/trans-people. Trans-people face lots of barriers + discrimination in their lives. They get denied access to medical healthcare, their support in mental health, sometimes, they get discriminated by
other people, people don't want to service them. In past years, Australia had researched and found that about 0.9% of Aussies are transgender. In that group, Aussies over 16 years and onwards, about 0.3% identify as trans-male/trans-man; about 0.3% identify as trans-female/trans-lady; about 0.3% identify as non-binary people - meaning they don't fit into either gender labels of male or female. We have slowly seen an increase in that number due to safe space and communities and families and friends supporting the trans-people. But today in the world of
politics, especially UK and USA, Trans-people are currently fighting against lot of
barriers and discrimination. We hope that with more understanding and support, that trans-people will feel more safe and continue fight for their rights.
Bye.

Hi, today I will talk about transgender/trans-people. This is a big topic to talk about, it has been discussed over the past few years. I have no expert knowledge but I will do my best to give you the facts. This is a big video so it will be split into two parts. Firstly, what is transgender? Transgender means when a person is born, feels they don't fit or match their biological s*x, they want to change their s*x. It can be changed different ways like their legal name, clothing styles or their pronouns in conversation or do medicinal surgeries or take hormones pills. Some trans-people don't want change their bodies, only tell the change of their pronouns and name which is totally acceptable and okay. Some trans find easy to bring it up in a conversation, make it obvious to families and friends that they're trans. Some trans-people, may not feel safe enough due to their environment, that there's no safety or support around them. We will talk more about that later. Bye

Happy International Sign Language Day today.
We also have National Week of Deaf People this week.
In the past, we had something like Hearing Week. But really we belong to Deaf culture and sign language due to our deaf identities.
The National Week of Deaf People was established following the creation of The World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) in 1958 to recognise sign language as part of our identity.
KHC, our NDIS business, provides services in sign language. We are very proud to provide this deaf led specialised service in Australia. We respect and honor your deaf identity due to you using sign language. Enjoy today and celebrate this week.
Bye all.

To celebrate the upcoming R U OK? Day on Thursday, and to commemorate it, Karli Health Centre has partnered with Devon Meadows Primary School to share a special video. Devon Meadows Primary School had the wonderful idea to create an interview in Auslan to raise awareness within their community about mental health challenges faced by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Devon Meadows students who participated, Georgia Knight for her excellent editing and voice-over translations, and our KHC representative for their contributions.

Remember to ask R U OK? today and at any day.

Hi all, from Darwin. It’s lovely warm here but bad luck I cannot go swimming at the beach because of the crocodiles ! Anyway I'm here for four presentation and workshops. One of the workshops is titled Cyberbully and Grooming for youths here. It’s really rewarding to provide a workshop for young Deaf people. You know it’s a dangerous cyber world out there for children to be lured and groomed? It’s dangerous and can happen. If you want us to present this topic for your students at your school, let us know. Bye now.

Hi this is part one of diversity groups of LGBTIQA+.
Transcript start
Hi, today I will talk about diversity groups under the umbrella of LGBTIQA+. The groups include what?
1. S*xual orientation/identity
2. Gender orientation/identity
3. S*x characteristics
4. Queer+ and other minor identities group
I will talk about the first two today.
First s*xual identity, it means an person who are interested or has level of attraction towards other people, can be female or male, or both gender.
second, gender identity means a person growing up feels in sync, 'I was born a male so I feel that I am a male/man' or 'born a female so I feel I am female' but sometime growing up they can feel that their s*x doesn't match their gender 'I don't feel like a man, I am lady'. This refers to transgender/transpeople identity.
The third and fourth group, I will talk about in another video. Bye.
