Karli supports WFD's work in "Building a World Where Everywhere Deaf People Can Sign Anywhere". Did you know WFD was founded on 23 September 1951 in Rome and is one of the oldest international organizations of persons with disabilities in the world? Hi this is second part of diversity groups under LGBTIQA+ video

Hi, part two of diversity groups of LGBTIQA+. So number 3, s*x characteristics, this means biological s*x that is assigned at birth so anatomical body parts such as va**na or p***s. the individual grows up with. This can include inters*x people. What is inters*x? It refer to an individual who is born with both male and female biological parts.
Four. Queer+ identities groups. This includes groups of identities that doesn't fit or matches the big two groups of s*xual or gender terms. I will make later videos
focusing more on specific diversity groups. Bye now.

Hi, today I will talk about diversity groups under the umbrella of LGBTIQA+. The groups include what?
1. S*xual orientation/identity
2. Gender orientation/identity
3. S*x characteristics
4. Queer+ and other minor identities group
I will talk about the first two today.
First s*xual identity, it means an person who are interested or has level of attraction towards other people, can be female or male, or both gender.
second, gender identity means a person growing up feels in sync, 'I was born a male so I feel that I am a male/man' or 'born a female so I feel I am female' but sometime growing up they can feel that their s*x doesn't match their gender 'I don't feel like a man, I am lady'. This refers to transgender/transpeople identity.
The third and fourth group, I will talk about in another video. Bye.

Hello all, do you know there is a website and information sent out via news about loneliness, titled Loneliness Awareness Week. A lot of people are affected by loneliness. This is organised by hearing people. Now, can you imagine deaf people are even worse? It is because of being deaf making it harder to communicate and socialise with hearing people around you. So how do we make sure deaf people are more included in groups to develop getting along relationships and friendships. So that is why I am organising those workshops, sharing stories together from our Deaf hearts and that way we heal. If interested to attend, do book online. See you later.

I recently went to training. Do you know that psychotherapists, psychologists or psychiatrists must go to ongoing professional development? Practice always and continue development of skills. They are really valuable and fantastic training for us. I learned more about Dissociation which is quite common in people, both hearing and Deaf. I also learned about neurodiversity topics. It was very empowering to attend their conference where they, neurodivergent people, presented. I am an “Ally” who works and supports them. My Deaf colleague presented information about Deaf autism. I also attended Su***de training, people who take their lives. So if you want to learn more about those topics, do come to our or my coming up workshops. What an excellent article on Deaf Mental Health workshop that Karli conducted with the assistance of Clair in Perth around May. Their hard work did not go unnoticed as they were featured in the Deafness Forum newsletter "One in Six" published 25 June 2025.

Hello, I hope your last weekend was good. I have to interrupt the video series by NN (Nat Ng) about LGBTIQA+ q***r inclusive. It is an interesting topic to learn about. Today, I wanted to make an announcement - I will be going to Darwin on 17th August to present Deaf Trauma as well as other workshops. This term, what does it mean?
This means a group of different diverse people in a community with different
s*xual identity or gender identity. This includes groups such as le***an, gay,
bis*xual - individuals who like both genders, transgender/trans people,
inters*x - people who were born with both biological s*xes, q***r (A)+ - ally;
those include people who support them, it can be families, friends, people from
your community and around you.
I will upload a poster with flags colours that represent each group mentioned.
