I realise I have one more counselling video from last year which has not yet been posted here. But I will soon. The sign “Yoga” and the other sign “Meditation”. Are they the same or different ? The sign meditation is created from, you know, [the story about] the Buddha who sat down under a tree with hands “meditating” on his lap many years ago? It is possible that thousands of years ago, people worked on the farm so they were very active or they were serving people, they did not have computers to sit down to type or to write, maybe just a few people did, so they needed to sit down more to meditate.
But today we definitely need to move our [sedate] bodies more to help flow the energy within ourselves, from the head to our feet. So Yoga means physical activity that involves movement and breathing well. Everyone’s body is different, each person has their own [ayurvedic constitution] energy. That is why [people]studied yoga therapy to assess each body's make-up [and tailor a program suitable for each].
If you want to know more information, do reach out to us. Bye now.

Hi all, I hope you all enjoyed watching some of the four or five meditation videos which are for children. I made those videos through the Covid time when it was very quiet at home. Before they were closed to the public but now they are open for you to enjoy. They can be enjoyed by us, the adults, to watch as they are really beautiful meditative guides. When I read the short meditations in the book for children, I really enjoyed reading them, the beautiful meditations. I hope you have enjoyed watching them. I meditate [daily]; the signs “Yoga” and “Meditation”, are both signs different or same? I will make some videos to explain more. Have a good day. Bye.

Seaside:
Standing on the sand, you are watching the ocean. Imagine that your breathing is the sound of waves gently crashing on the shore. You breathe slowly and deeply. The sun is warm on your body, and you feel happy and relaxed.

Looking down, you see the water lapping at your toes. Wriggle them in the sand. The soft breeze carries the smell of salty water to your nose. Inhale deeply and let the invigorating air fill your lungs. Enjoy how the beach makes you feel. The cheery sunlight sparkles on the water as the waves roll and tumble. You are calm and peaceful.

Looking to the sky you see birds circling. They glide above the beach seeming as light as air. You imagine what it feels like to be one of them. Flying gives you the feeling of freedom, without a care in the world. What wonderful things can you see below you? Just let the breeze carry you, around and around in gentle circles. The air is warm and fresh. You can hover here as long as you like. When you are ready, return your focus to the beach, with all its wonderful sights and smells. Breathing deeply, all you hear is the sound (or see) of the sea”.

Hi all, Happy New Year. Have you seen our recent post about KHC’s vision, values, etc. showing what is really valued and important for us all to support Deaf and HoH [community] nationally. It is always good to review the past and future for new ideas, make some changes, in order to bring in new growth to this business to continue to be sustainable.
Secondly, in the next two weeks, KHC will post videos from Youtube about wellbeing. I made those videos years ago, for example, there will be six reasonably good videos to be posted on the Facebook KHC page, not Instagram, so if you want to see what it is all about, then I suggest you go to the FB KHC page. Enjoy them!
Thirdly, I will post other videos in the future but I would like to inform you I have made one video about counselling from last year which will be posted soon. Bye now.

On 11 October, Karli was honored to collaborate with Jasmine Stephens on her initiative designed to unite Deaf and hearing individuals in celebrating stories from Deaf culture showcased at Embodied Deaf Art Exhibition held at North Curl Curl, Sydney.
This collaboration included the delivery of the "Embodied – A Deaf Perspective" Meditation and Mental Health workshop. The exhibition aims to foster deeper connections between hearing and Deaf communities by examining how physical and emotional experiences are influenced by our social environments and how identity and dialogue are expressed through tangible and gestural forms.
This exhibition was supported by Deaf Connect and the Deaf Connect Grants & Sponsorship Program, and Northern Beaches Council as part of the Emerging Curator Program.
To Karli from Jasmine Stephens, Curator: "Thank you so much for being involved in this exhibition. Everyone that came to the program loved Karli's perspective and guidance. It was a beautiful day."
