Happy Auslan Day ๐ŸŒŸ

We love seeing our NextSense staff come together to learn Auslan, with 24 students studying Certificate II last year & 14 continuing on to Certificate III this year. Administrative/technical assistant Luda mentioned how it helps her connect with others at work:

"I decided to keep up with my Auslan studies because of the amazing Deaf colleagues I work with. Being able to communicate in their language makes such a difference in how we connect as a team. Plus, I really want to make sure our clients get a warm, inclusive welcome in Auslan as soon as they step into the office."

Weโ€™re proud to continue growing & learning as a community ๐Ÿซถ

We had a fantastic time at the NSW Seniors Expo 2026 ๐Ÿ’› Talking about hearing health & cochlear implants reminded us how important it is to stay connected with the people around us.

A simple hearing check can make a big difference in keeping conversations & connections alive.

Hearing loss is also the biggest preventable risk factor for dementia in middle age, so itโ€™s important to make hearing checks part of your annual health routine ๐Ÿซถ

Thank you to everyone who visited us!

It was an exciting day at NextSense on Friday as our Preschool & School students welcomed Australiaโ€™s Federal Minister for Education, the Hon Jason Clare ๐ŸŽ“

Students & teachers from our hearing & vision classes had the chance to meet with the Minister, share their learning activities & showcase their classrooms in action. The highlight of the visit was a wonderful performance of The Lion Sleeps Tonight by our talented Signing Choir ๐ŸŽถ

Joined by local Federal Member for Bennelong, Jerome Laxale MP, the Minister also learned more about NextSense Institute & how it delivers high-quality continuing professional education to meet the learning needs of teachers ๐Ÿ’š
