In Loving Memory The Late Panagiota Fterniatis, born Pyrgos Ilias Greece, aged 85 years, sadly passed away with her beloved family by her side on 16th March 2025. A devoted woman and her faith in God, who he himself saw her suffering and did not want her to suffer anymore, where he called Panagiota home to heaven, to join her beloved husband Panagiotis who awaits her, there she will suffer no more, but continue to live an eternal life, free of suffering and pain and to be with God and his angels, her beloved husband and other members off her family that had passed.

During ones life, you will certainly cross paths with a person with a character and you would not be able to fault him or her. Such was the Late Panagiota Fterniatis, a beautiful caring soul, who lived her life to the fullest and was the mother figure for her children, grand children, family and friends . She was full of laughs and jokes, she would touch any ones heart that she met. A very much adored and love woman, Panagiota was very much loved and respected by all that knew her and those whom have come to know her. Panagiotas life was her family, but her pain was her much beloved late husband, Panagiotis, whom she missed so dearly, she did not hide this fact. She now leaves behind her beloved children Arthur, Nionio, Angela and Maria and 7 grandchildren and her great grandson, her beloved son-in-laws, daughter in laws, her sister, newphews and nieces, friends etc., which all of them she shared the same love, bringing her the most happiness and joy that any Grandmother could ask for as she watched them grow in life and gained qualifications and commenced working in various occupations and fields, such as one of them is a commercial pilot, one is a teacher, two are serving members of the NSW Police Force, the list goes on. For Panagiota her life was fulfilled, she had everything she wanted and that being her family and her beloved grandchildren, and great grand son, but within her heart and soul she never ever forgotten her beloved late husband and Pyrgos Ilias in Greece, where in life itself, she and her beloved husband and on most occasions, her children would regularly travel back to. If one could now ask Panagiota, what is missing from your life?, we truly believe that she would look at you in the eyes and with a heart warmed smile, reply, "nothing, God has given me everything i wanted and have, my life is fulfilled".

We now have the late Panagiota Fterniatis in our loving care, to prepare her for her final day in this world, where she will be laid to rest and as an Orthodox, awaits as others, the final judgment faced by us all and resurrection. She is peacefully asleep now, no more suffering.

At the request of the family whom have allowed placement of this memorial to their beloved mother on our site, they have requested that there will be no funeral notice in local papers, only through social media sites.

A viewing will take place on Monday 24th March 2025 commencing at 5.00pm at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Belmore, the funeral will take place at 11.00am on Tuesday 25th March 2025 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Belmore, Isable Street Belmore, followed by the Interment at Rookwood Cemetery Monumental Lawn C / GN: 560 scheduled at 12.30pm. After the interment the family invite you to the wake to be held next to Rookwood Cemetery at The Strathfield Golf Club. Further information can be obatined direct through family members.

People talk about the last times a lot...

The last time you said you loved them,
held their hand,
heard them laugh.

But what about the firsts?

The first time your birthday comes around and there is no card from them.

Or the first time you gather as a group and they are missing.

The first time you wake up and remember they are no longer here.

The firsts will hurt in a way the lasts did not.
They will sting, burn, break you.
Because firsts signify the start.
A new beginning.

The beginning of the rest of your life
without them there beside you,
with a missing birthday card
a missing hand to hold.

The beginning of the rest of your life
missing them.

But remember…

We only experience something for the last time once.
And we only experience something for the first time once.

So I know you will miss them for the rest of your life.

But it won’t always hurt or sting or break you
like this.

We hear at Guiding Light Funerals serve from Our hearts to look after youres.

In Loving Memory of.
Leanne Baker....
Two years have passed since we took care of the beloved Leanne Baker.

Yet her presence continues to fill our lives in countless ways. In every photograph and memory, we are reminded of her warmth, her vibrant spirit, and her endless capacity for love.

Leanne was the kind of person who lit up any room she entered. She cherished her family deeply, and in these cherished photos, we can see the closeness she nurtured among everyone around her. Whether she was offering a comforting hug at home, Leanne was always there—steady, caring, and generous with her heart.

We remember her big, loving smiles, her readiness to lend a hand, and the small acts of kindness that defined her every day. Those qualities live on in the memories we share and in the love we pass forward to others in her name.

The Late Anastasios Karas (Karahontzitis) Born Asprokampos Corinthos, Greece 04/10/1934 -17/08/2024. Aged 89.

Today we with heavy heart, announce the passing of the Late Anastasios Karas, who leaves behind his beloved wife Vasiliki, chidlren Peter, Helen, Con, grandchildren, nephews and nices, brother and sister in laws, friends, Australia and Greece, this list is long. Anastasios, what words can be used to describe this man?, or his family?, well known in the Greek Community and general community, much loved by all and dearly respected, for us, there is a long history and he was truly loved by us and highly respected as with his entire family.

The honour placed by the family in us to take into our loving care, their beloved Anastasios touched us in so many ways, and only one thing is most important to us, that is to provide nothing more or less that "Dignity" he did and does deserve this, all dearly departed do.

Anastasios will truly be missed by all that know him, but his memory will never be forgotten, he will truly remain in the hearts and souls of all that loved him.
