We’ve just set up a new ultrasound machine with fantastic diagnostic quality and beautiful 3D/4D capability, and we’re looking for a few people to help us test it out and learn all of its features.

Both packages include a 3D ultrasound scan of your baby and are for entertainment purposes only (non-diagnostic) so they don't require a referral.

The HeartBeat Keepsake Package also includes a teddy of your choice with your baby’s heartbeat recorded inside, so you can keep it as a special memory.

Because we are trialling a new machine, we are offering this discount in exchange for your help while we test additional features and learn the system during your appointment. Your scan will still go ahead as normal, with some extra time spent exploring the machine.

Preparing properly for your scan helps us capture the best possible images. For pregnancy, pelvic, and renal ultrasounds, a full bladder is essential. Empty your bladder about 90 minutes before your appointment, then drink around one litre of water between 90 and 60 minutes prior — and hold until your scan.

In some cases, the scan can't be completed without a full bladder, which means you may need to wait and fill your bladder or reschedule. Following the preparation ensures we can perform your scan accurately and comfortably.

All referrals are welcome for diagnostic scans.

If you’re joining us for a 3D pregnancy ultrasound, no referral is required. These keepsake sessions are available from 16 weeks and offer a beautiful way to see your baby in more detail.

We’re often asked — do you bulk bill ultrasounds?

At Blayney Ultrasound, we're a private billing practice and currently don’t bulk bill. There’s an out-of-pocket fee for all of our diagnostic ultrasound services. You can see a full breakdown of fees and Medicare rebates on our website when you go to klrmedical.com.au/blayneyultrasound and scroll to the booking section.

Each appointment type lists the fee and the standard rebate you’ll receive, and if you’ve reached your Medicare threshold, you may be eligible for a higher rebate.

If you’d like to know more, our admin team can discuss fees when you book or confirm your appointment by phone. Give us a call on 02 6368 3401 between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
