Thank you to the Gundungurra Elders Aunty Sharyn and David King and former GM Scott O'Neile for organising our families to volunteer with Garguree Swampcare group, hear Aunty Sharyn's emotional story, experience a smoking ceremony, enjoy Lilli Pilli jam on fresh scones and Kingy's brew. It was a morning we will never forget 🙏

Greatest admiration for our Aged Care Workers. In the Blue Mountains region, we have 26 Aged Care Facilities (Source: BMCC website) and many elderly mountain folk that have assistance to stay in their homes.

Been searching for a leader to express our appreciation but have had no luck so far. So decided we will write our own special “THANK YOU”.

Thank you to the thousands of Aged Care Workers across the Blue Mountains and Australia that have worked tirelessly over the past 18 months to nurse, care, support, re-assure, clean and cook for our elderly family and friends. All whilst dealing with the extremely unpredictable COVID-19 threat and staff shortages. We know you are doing your best in these challenging circumstances and we admire each and every one of you 🙏 🙏🙏

I was lucky to be doing 'walk and talk' laps at Summerhayes with lovely local parents while our kids trained, taking many moments to admire the beautiful moon 🙂
