A busy multidisciplinary specialist practice is looking to hire a casual medical receptionist. 2-3 days a week. You will be working directly under the supervision of the Practice Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Day to day operation of a busy practice with multiple specialists
• Maintaining all patient appointments, procedures, results, accounts, and correspondence efficiently and accurately
• Invoicing and receipting patients
• Managing a doctor's diary to ensure all appointments are booked correctly and according to the doctor's specifications.
• General admin duties including faxing, scanning, ordering, restocking, and distribution of mail.
• End-of-day reconciliation, banking, and petty cash.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Previous experience in a Specialist Medical Practice
• Knowledge of Genie software or similar practice management software
• Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, health insurance and Workcover.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong attention to detail.
• Experience providing great patient care in a fast-paced environment with the ability to use initiative and be able to multitask.
• Professional, trustworthy, friendly and empathetic demeanour.
• At least 2 years experience working as a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
