Your internal, future story is not a reflection of reality it is an attempt to put yourself at ease by pretending you know what is coming because somehow, known equals comfort. The problem is that the mind tends to fill in the blanks negatively not accurately. Most of what we worry about never actually happens and we spend our present moments as though our story about our future is reality. It’s just a fictional narrative and you are the author. The good news is that you can rewrite that narrative any time you want.

If you think back over your life all of your successes came out of your action. Unfortunately the world does not respond to our thoughts or our wants or our wishes but it does respond to our action. The best way to get the life you want for yourself is to create it. No one is coming to save you so do yourself a favour and take action! You deserve the life you want to live as much as the next person but it will only come to you if you do what it takes to get there. So go and get it, it’s yours for the taking…

If you are feeling stuck, always ask yourself, “how am I doing this”? When you get detailed about your process, that is the first step to changing it because you can’t change what you’re not aware of and often these patterns are so unconscious to us that we don’t recognise what we are doing that contributes to the problem space. When you break it down you make it manageable.

How you decide determines so much of your quality of life. It can be the catalyst to lead you towards anxiety or depression or towards resilience and happiness. Your decisions derive from your beliefs and perspective. The questions you need to consider are as follows 1. Are your beliefs valid. They might be valid but … 2. Do they serve you. If the answer is no you might want to reconsider what’s not working for you and turn your attention towards a third question 3. What is the best thing I can do now with what I have got. When you make decisions based on what you want you get very different outcomes.

Worrying about your future never solved anything. The good news is your future is largely dependent on what you are doing in the present. Whatever your focusing on in the here and now you will get more of in your future spaces. The question is what do you spend your time focusing on? Choose your point of focus wisely to create the future you want for yourself. Love to all!

Many of us spend so much time in avoidance worrying about what’s out there in our future spaces. Somehow we all missed the memo that as long as we are mindful of use of time in the here and now the rest takes care of itself. We trade away so much of our life for the safety of comfort in what’s familiar but I’m going to suggest that you start to lean into a comfortability with the unfamiliar. Don’t wait until you feel like doing something because that time may never come. Take ACTION now!!! If you can do that consistently your reality will be a very different place to live in.
