There’s no such thing as an ideal or ‘perfect’ age for surgery – the time for surgery depends on many factors aside from just your age (like your skin condition, health, and goals).
That being said, facelift (rhytidectomy) surgery is usually performed on people over the age of 40. This is because people in their 40s, 50s, or 60s usually start to see visible ageing signs that may not respond well to non-surgical options.
In other words, deciding to get surgery is a big decision that doesn’t just depend on age. It also depends on your cosmetic goals, the speed of your facial ageing, and your readiness for surgery physically, emotionally, and financially.
Consulting with a qualified plastic surgeon can help assess whether facelift surgery may be appropriate for your needs and expectations.
