Chaos at breakfast. Glow at sunset. 🇨🇳

Travelling with 3 kids and 6 adults is one of the most joyful, loud, beautiful, exhausting things you can do — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But even in the middle of the madness, I carved out time for myself (because a glowing woman is a happy woman 😌).

I stumbled upon the most elegant little wellness sanctuary in Zhongshan — natural products, essential oils, a divine massage and facial — and left with skin that was literally LUMINOUS. Ended the day with a quiet cup of tea and felt like a whole new woman.

Reminder: You can do it ALL and still choose YOU. 💛

High intensity exercise and the nervous system:

High intensity workouts and exercise late evening leaves the body and the mind in a hightened state of awareness, increases cortisol levels and makes it really difficult to unwind and get to sleep.

Try some relaxing yoga instead.

Hi, I’m Anastasia, Naturopath at Eastern Therapies and I can help to support your nervous system.

Married a man who ocean swims in winter 🥶 Had to come prepared.

3 doses of Chinese herbs and the cold doesn't stand a chance. You too can start preparing for winter, if colds keep finding you, it's time to strengthen that immune system naturally.

Book in today or book in before it takes hold 🌿

What stayed with me most from this trip was not just the mountains, the bullet train.

It was the food and precious time with the family.

I was so inspired by how naturally Chinese herbs and medicinal ingredients are woven into everyday cooking in China. Not in an overwhelming way. Just beautifully, intentionally, and as part of daily life.

From chrysanthemum leaf salad, to black chicken soup with goji berries, to coconut soup with white fungus, pearl barley and xing ren… every dish felt deeply nourishing in its own way.

There were mushrooms, lotus root, mountain yam, black fungus, probiotic-rich pickles, endless dumplings, coconut fish dessert, and chrysanthemum jelly — meals that felt wholesome, comforting, and full of wisdom passed down through generations.

This trip reminded me that in Chinese medicine, balance is often created through the small things we do every day — how we eat, how we rest, how we live, and how we nourish ourselves.

I left feeling deeply nourished by the food, the culture, and the time with my family.

If you’d love to learn how to live more in harmony according to Chinese medicine principles, send us a message.

Greek Easter is one of the most meaningful times in our culture — a beautiful season of faith, fasting, feasting, and coming together with the people you love.

What I love most is that it is not only about the feast, but also about the fast that comes before it. That period of fasting brings intention, discipline, and reflection. It is so interesting to see how modern research is now exploring how fasting may support metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, and heart health in some people — making these traditions feel even more meaningful.

This year, I dyed the red Easter eggs for the first time, and I absolutely loved it. They looked so beautiful and made the whole table feel even more special.

And of course… one of the best parts was the egg-cracking game.
Everyone chooses an egg and taps the end of their egg against someone else’s. If your egg stays uncracked, you move on. The last intact egg wins.

It sounds simple, but trust me — even the adults get very competitive. So much laughter, so much food, and such a beautiful way to celebrate tradition together.

The Nervous System and Swinging the body back and forth:
Gently swinging the body back and forth can help the body feel grounded and relaxed, due to its predictable and rhythmic movement, beneficial if you are feeling panicky and stressed.

How To Beat A Bad Night Sleep

Here's what I do when I've had a terrible night sleep.

First, I don't force the gym. I normally go to the gym at 5.30 but if I've had a really bad sleep, I take an extra hour in bed and that extra sleep helps way more than dragging myself to a workout because I've got a full day of patients, right?

Second, I try to get a 20-minute reset during the day if I can. I mask on, short meditation and if I fall asleep for 20 minutes, it feels amazing.

Third, sunlight. You've got to step outside for about 10 minutes. Natural light helps reset your body clock and gives you a bit of energy.

And my Chinese medicine trick is if I've got a huge day ahead, I'll ask one of my practitioners to put a few acupuncture needles in my back and honestly, I feel like a new person afterwards.

Did you know your pulse can give incredibly precise insight into your body — from your energy levels and digestion… to your sleep quality and internal balance?

In Chinese medicine, the pulse isn’t just a rhythm — it’s a diagnostic language.

It guides everything.

Before prescribing herbs or acupuncture treatment plan, we don’t just look at symptoms.
We match what we feel in the pulse with what we see in the patient.

Because just like in Western medicine, there are multiple formulas for the same condition. But the outcome depends on choosing the right one for that exact moment in your body.

And that level of precision comes down to the pulse.

I’ve spent over 10 years refining this skill through the Tian pulse system — a method that requires ongoing calibration, sensitivity, and constant study.

We held a dedicated pulse clinic — 14 patients, each with a unique presentation, each pulse telling its own story.

Moments like this matter.

Because mastery isn’t static—it’s something we continue to refine.

Sici and I taking a moment before clinic began — grounded, focused, and ready to listen… not just to symptoms, but to the pulse itself.

Curious what your pulse might reveal about your health?
