✨ Revitalise Nutrition is TRANSITIONING onto a NEW PROFILE! ✨ New account linked above if you would like to continue to see my posts in future!

WHY THE UPDATE?
✨ As many of my lovely clients may now know, as of January 2023 Revitalise Nutrition is going to transition into a COMPLETELY ONLINE service.
✨ I LOVE my clinic space in Bondi Junction, however the growth of the business has directed me more toward the online space.
✨ With this I have decided to change from Revitalise Nutrition to Diet Free Dietitian on social media platforms (Diet Free Dietitian will now be my primary account)
✨ The past 2 years has enabled me to realise where my true area of impact is and I wanted my new account to clearly reflect the type of clients I know I am able to help the most!
✨ HINT: If you couldn't tell already, I really don't like restrictive diets ;)

WHAT DO THESE CHANGES MEAN?
✨ A wider variety of dates/times to choose from
✨ Working with me will no longer be limited to location (I will now have the capacity to work with anyone AUS wide!)
✨ I will be focusing more on my area of expertise: breaking free from restrictive (yo-yo) dieting once and for all!
✨ New and exciting ways to work with me (beyond 1:1) in the online space! Stay tuned for this one 🤫

Want to know the real reason why you can’t stick to your diet?

Restrictive diets are only ever short term solutions.

There comes a time where we can’t take it anymore and “fall off” the diet.

This is where we usually blame ourselves for having no “willpower” or “self control” ❌

We give up and eat everything that “wasn’t allowed” on our diet and end up feeling so guilty that we make ourselves “start again” Monday!

The REAL reason the diet fails is because the diet we have chosen is actually IMPOSSIBLE to maintain.

Yes it provides a quick fix or short term results. But realistically, how long do we actually keep these “results” for afterwards?

What was the point the diet when we only end up back at square 1 (or minus 1) in the future?

My point: it’s not you, it’s the diet 😉

Save this for next time you consider starting a fad diet - I’m going to be rolling out something new sooooon, so keep your eyes peeled 😍 B x

Carbohydrates are our bodies main source of fuel ⛽️

So it only makes sense to fuel with a carbohydrates snack or meal before exercising. Fast acting carbohydrates otherwise known as simple carbs are recommended ~ 30-90minutes prior (individual preference and tolerance).

Fast acting carbohydrates are low fibre therefore are fast to digest before exercise and prevents feelings of lethargy. Energy is quickly absorbed and available to our muscles for performance!

You still need to eat today!

No matter what.
No matter when.
No matter how much.

The answer is NOT to restrict or skip meals to compensate.

The answer IS to accept, move on and go about your daily routine/eating habits as you normally would.

This is because this is preventing the next ‘diet cycle’ from occurring.

Therefore preventing or delaying the next moment where we may eat more/differently than intended.

A diet is never never the answer! When a diet fails many blame their individual lack of discipline, strength and commitment to the diet. But the problem is the diet, extreme food rules and restriction.

Many then go on start another diet to fight feelings of guilt and shame and the diet cycle continues 🔄

If you feel as though you are trapped in a diet cycle or have experienced this before, know that there is hope to improve your relationship with food and don’t be ashamed to seek professional help!

HOW TO MAKE CHIA SEED PUDDINGS:

1. In a jar mix 2TB chia seeds + 1/2C milk of choice (regular, almond, oat or coconut) + drizzle of honey 🍯

2. Once combined cover the jar + store in refrigerator overnight (minimum 3-4hrs) 🥶

3. Once ready, top with yoghurt (extra protein!) + fruit of choice (I used fresh figs, plums and banana) + a sprinkle of granola or oats (extra high fibre carbohydrate!) 🍌

4. Ready to eat! Enjoy cold - (Can last up to 1 week in the fridge) 🖤
