The ACPSEM has a mission to advance services and professional standards in medical physics and biomedical engineering for the benefit and protection of the community. The Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine or ACPSEM is a not for profit association of members who have careers in medical physics (either in the radiation oncology, radiology and/or nuclear medicine),

biomedical engineering or radiopharmaceutical science. Some have research as their main focus whereas others are very much at the forefront of patient diagnosis and treatment. As with any medical profession they often work in teams, alongside medical doctors, radiation therapists and technicians. We’re delighted to welcome Harriet as our new Membership Engagement Officer. When she’s not keeping our member records in impeccable order, she’s either mastering her Pilates routine, out‑shopping with her daughters, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen - often all with the same level of enthusiasm and precision she brings to her work. With her energy, warmth, and ability to juggle everything from sauté pans to spreadsheets, Harriet is set to be a fantastic addition to the team.

For our last spotlight, we’re turning to a very familiar face, our CEO Di Robinson. Someone many of you have met at IUPESM, EPSM, or along the way at other events, she is known for her approachability, insight, and genuine connection to our community. Through steady leadership, thoughtful advocacy, and a passion for supporting members at every stage of their careers, she continues to help shape the future of medical physics and biomedical engineering across Australasia.

Di can be found cultivating big ideas by day and actual gardens by weekend. When not steering the company, she can be found debating films in the film club, books in the book club, and occasionally ukulele playing no one asked for (but everyone secretly enjoys).

Today, we’re spotlighting our Finance Team, all led by one professional! Behind every budget, financial report, and strategic decision is the meticulous work of our solo finance champion.

Eva Liu is our Finance Officer, making sure everyone gets paid on time, and tactfully chasing those who forget to pay their dues, keeping ACPSEM running smoothly. Her desk is never without a sweet treat, though cheesecake reigns supreme. Outside of work, Eva spends her time with her two beautiful girls and perfecting the art of not cooking for her husband.

Today, we are spotlighting our Education Team, the dedicated people behind our training programs, professional development opportunities, and the learning pathways that support our members throughout their careers. Their commitment helps shape the future of medical physics and biomedical engineering across Australasia!

Andrew Campbell is our General Manager of Education, bringing deep knowledge, broad experience, and—true to form—many fingers in many pies to support work right across ACPSEM. When he’s not keeping the College running smoothly, you’ll find him clocking kilometres around Sydney or Perth, or in the pub passionately debating optimal run pace with anyone willing to listen.

Josie Bedford is the Education Manager at ACPSEM and enthusiastic organiser of… well, everything. Focused on everything from CPD and broader education programs to government‑funded initiatives, IFP, accreditation, certification panels, and PSB coordination. Outside of work, shes training for a half marathon in March and gearing up for Hyrox in July, so most of her free time is spent running, lifting, or wondering why she signed up for both.

In her role as Education Program Officer, Lucy H LU is responsible for managing and coordinating most key aspects of the ACPSEM education programs. The key responsibilities include TEAP, Registration Applications, General Skill Migration Applications (GSM), Trainee Grants and data reporting.
Lucy holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focusing on General Law and Chinese Linguistics from Central China Normal University and previously worked in a non-profit management industry for many years. Lucy enjoys interacting with people and has a lot of friends in the office building.
