Dairy is one of the most talked-about foods when it comes to acne. And for good reason.
Some research shows that the protein in cows dairy can increase IGF-1, a growth factor that can stimulate oil production & inflammation in the skin. For some teens, it will worsen breakouts.
But this isn’t about blanket food rules. Not every teen reacts the same way, & removing foods without subtending the why often leads to frustration (& food fear).
