5 Yoghurt Brands I Love for Gut Health ✨

Dairy has gotten a bad rap in the health space, but yoghurt can be a great way to support your gut.

Here’s the thing, not all dairy brands are equal. Here are my top picks:

~ Meredith Dairy: goat milk yoghurt that's gentle on digestion
~ Jalna: pot-set, organic, and packed with probiotics
~ Five:am: organic, creamy, and probiotic-rich
~ Barambah Organics: grass-fed, full-fat, and teeming with live cultures
~ Vaalia: extra probiotics to keep your gut happy

What's your favourite?

An 'IBS' diagnosis isn't good enough πŸ–€

Certainly you may fall under this diagnostic criteria, but if we dig a little deeper, we can generally find other imbalanced happening within your gut.

Once we fix these, a lot of your IBS symptoms will reduce or disappear entirely.

The power of food as medicine 🌱

Nature has created the most incredible foods, designed to help our body function as it was intended.

If you’re feeling constipated, try adding these 3 fruits to your diet for natural relief

~ Kiwifruit: packed with fibre and digestive enzymes to help move things along. Just 2 kiwi fruit each day has been shown to increase transit time.

~ Dragonfruit: high in fibre and prebiotics, supporting smooth digestion.

~ Mango: a delicious source of fibre and natural sugars that speed up transit time.

If you’re not a fruit lover, comment πŸ™…πŸ½β€β™€οΈ below and I’ll send you 3 other options.

Struggling with low energy & gut problems?

It might not just be about what you’re eating, but what you’re not absorbing!

Here are 3 common deficiencies I see in people with gut issues:

1️⃣ Low Iron
β€” Often caused by poor absorption in the gut, leading to fatigue and low energy.

2️⃣ Low B12
β€” This important vitamin can be low due to absorption issues or being 'hijacked' by SIBO bacteria.

3️⃣ Low Beneficial Bacteria
β€” A lack of variety in your diet can lead to a poor gut microbiome, leaving you with imbalances that trigger bloating and other digestive issues.

Number 3 is SO common, and I believe this is a driver for many.

Endometriosis and gut symptoms are interlinked. Endometrial lesions can occur directly on the bowel and cause digestive problems, AND up to 90% of women with endometriosis also experience digestive symptoms.

Optimising gut health can be a valuable approach in managing endometriosis symptoms and potentially slowing its progression. Here are some strategies to consider:
~ Anti-inflammatory diet
~ Gut- supportive nutrients
~ Stress management
~ Consider herbal support

One common misconception is that raw food is always better for digestion than cooked food. So, it might come as a surprise but the answer is TRUE. Cooked food is better for digestion IF YOU HAVE PERSISTENT BLOATING

Why?

Cooking breaks down the tough fibres in fruits and veggies, making them easier for our bodies to process. That means less stress on our digestive system.
