A New Chapter for The Bowen Studio 🌿

As many of you already know, my lease has come to an end which means it’s time to say goodbye to the space that has been home to The Bowen Studio for the past 3 and a half years.

I’m definitely a bit sad to leave it behind, so many special moments, amazing clients, and plenty of growth as a bowen therapist has happened here. BUT… thankfully, with endings come new beginnings and I’m so excited for what’s next!

Over the past couple of months I’ve been working on transforming (with plenty of help!) my garage at home into a warm and welcoming new studio space! It will be fresh and already feels like the perfect next step. Working from home opens a whole new chapter and I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Thank you to everyone for all of your support so far, it really does mean the world. I look forward to welcoming you all into my new space this year🌻

There is only 3 weeks left to book if you want to get in before Christmas!

Monday the 22nd of December will be my last day of work for 2025, and I’ll be taking January off. This means that December is your last chance to get in for a reset and to head into the new year feeling your best!

Over 6 months without coffee 🌿

I didn’t give up coffee on purpose, it just kind of happened when I started drinking cacao. After the first week, I decided to keep going to see how long I could last and how my body would feel without my usual caffeine habit. I didn’t set a time frame - I just knew I’d been drinking way too much before. Some days I’d have 6+ coffees. Looking back to early on I remember noticing steady energy, less anxiety, and better sleep.

6 things I’ve realised since stopping coffee:
•I wasn’t drinking coffee for how it made me feel - it had just become a habit
•You don’t have to skip the social side - order a decaf, a tea, a chai, a hot choc, a frappe… whatever you like!
•You’re not missing out on the fun stuff either… decaf espresso martinis are totally a thing, and actually pretty common! (Thanks to the girls atPiccolo Vintage Coffee Vann for not making me feel silly when I first asked🤣)
•I went from the one wanting a new coffee machine at home to the one saying we don’t need one
•I get nervous when someone else orders for me in case they forget to say “decaf.” I also wonder… would I even notice if they didn’t?!
•I still feel like a bit of a fraud every time I order a decaf, like I should be going for the real deal😂

When will I go back to regular coffee? Honestly, I have no idea🤷🏻‍♀️ - maybe tomorrow, maybe next year, or maybe I’ll stick with decaf and keep the real deal as an occasional treat.

Looking after your nervous system doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes gentle movement, fresh air and being present is all it takes.

Tonight’s walk reminded me how important it is to slow down and notice the little things… the trees, the sounds, the breeze. Simple, but so grounding. Over the next day or two, make time do something your nervous system will thank you for🌱☀️🙏🏼

Sunday self-care🥵

If only choosing the sauna colour was the hardest part (which I definitely spent way too long doing tonight - I’m sure those of you who know me well would not be surprised🤣)
But lately, the burnout has been loud! And choosing self-care over the day to day grind can sometimes be the real hard decision.
Remembering to pause, take a breath, and making time for some much needed self-care is so important.
