You might have noticed Steph wasn’t in store this past week, she has been busy!

A huge congratulations to our incredible pharmacist Steph, on being named SA/NT Early Career Pharmacist of the Year! 👏🏼

Steph has been recognised for her outstanding innovation, leadership, and commitment to expanding healthcare services in rural communities. As the first community pharmacist in South Australia to administer a specific type of injection, she has helped to support safer and more accessible care for patients.

Steph’s passion for her work & her community doesn’t stop there. Delivering health education and mental health first aid, to UTI management & oral contraceptive supply. Steph continues to make a real difference in rural, community pharmacy. Through strong collaboration with the local hospital, Steph is also helping to improve health literacy and elevate care across the Bordertown community.

It is easy to see why Steph is such a deserving recipient of this award!

We are all so proud of Steph and are so grateful to have her on our team! Our community is so lucky to have you 🤍 A special mention to our wonderful Keith pharmacist too, Lina is also such a hard worker & advocate for rural healthcare. Lina nominated Steph for this award.

Zahlee & Steph had a great night representing the Bordertown Pharmacy at the Bordertown Bowling Club on Tuesday night 🎳

With their scorecard, I think the girls will be sticking to their day jobs in pharmacy 😉

It was a lot of fun, with great company, and hopefully as the season rolls on, they can keep improving!

Yesterday, our pharmacist Steph had the pleasure of speaking at the local Probus Club.

Steph shared her knowledge and experiences in pharmacy, as well as her personal journey to where she is today, with the club’s wonderful members.

Topics of interest included how compounding in pharmacy works, the study pathway to becoming a pharmacist, and the role of pharmacy in aged care. Steph also took time to answer members’ questions.

She enjoyed connecting with members on a more personal level, many of whom she often sees around the community.

Steph is very grateful to the Probus Club for their warm welcome, hospitality, and the lovely morning tea.
