Day 6 - Pain Revolution
π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
Itβs hard to believe that 6 days has past, it seems like a blur.
Breakfast, pack bags in the truck, roll out on the bike, morning tea stop, lunch stop, arrive to accomodation, shower, then either organising volunteer massage support or attending a Community Pain Education session, dinner and repeat.
I knew this trip was going to challenge me physically and mentally but I wasnβt prepared for just how much.
I was hoping to ride the full distance but with 7 weeks of training and mostly on the mountain bike that was going to take a Herculean effort.
Day 1 - 50kmβ
Day 2 - 90km of 130km
Day 3 - 110km of 150km
Day 4 - 100km β
Day 5 - 78km β
Day 6 - 50km β
+ 23km
I thought before I came if I had to get in the bus that I had failed. I have now decided to take βfailβ out of my dictionary and replace it with βI am tryingβ. Plus I got to chat with Bill our mechanic in the van which was very therapeutic.
This charity ride is not about how many kmβs I can ride but about the lives that have been and will be impacted by the funds you have generously donated.
I am thrilled to be around people that talk my language and have similar approaches to working with people.
Two more days of riding to go, tomorrow is Noosa to Caloundra ποΈ
Thank you for your support
