Extremely proud to support Maritimo raising funds for the Perry Cross Foundation again in 2023.

The Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation was born to challenge that life-long sentence and challenge the science and medical industries to find a cure for paralysis. In recent years, it has embarked on unveiling one of the world’s most promising hopes of a cure – and it’s being progressed in Australia.

Subject to weather, on Wednesday 18th October 2023, Maritimo will be taking guests for a ride in the Maritimo XCat race boat that races all over the world representing Australia.

The boat will be operating under permit from 10am to 3pm.
Viewers will be able to see it on the water from the front beach, North Queensland Cruising Yacht Club and the jetty.

In the event weather conditions are to bad to operate, Saturday has also been allocated as a possible date.

The boat will be on the water between 10am and 3pm reaching speed close to 120 MPH

Remember last month we did a Medivac from Nara Inlet for a 10 year old with a fish hook deeply embedded in his hand? Well, the young fisherman came along to our Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings on Saturday to tell our Crew how much he appreciated our assistance and also gave us a lovely Thankyou card.

It was so nice for our Crew to know he had recovered well. It made the trip in squally, rainy and generally unpleasant conditions on that particular evening worthwhile.
