I did something a bit different yesterday and attended a Dog First Aid course in Townsville. It was very interesting. The course was ran by Dog First Aid Australia.

So that we can deliver the most up-to-date, relevant and high-quality first aid training to all of our participants, we have just attended the National Institute of First Aid Trainers Conference. We gained updated information on all things first aid and have fresh, new ideas to integrate into our training. One of the exhibitors(and previous guest speaker at the last conference) was Greg Page, the original Yellow Wiggle, who survived a cardiac arrest at the end of a concert in 2020.

FYI to anyone out there with food allergies (or anyone who looks after someone with food allergies)

SURPRISING ALLERGENS IN FOODS

Did you know that
⭐ Egg is sometimes found in parmesan cheese?
⭐ Milk is sometimes found in salami and packaged seafood?
⭐ Cashew is sometimes found in vegan cheese?
⭐ Sesame (tahini) is sometimes found in vegan cookies?

Do the 3-step check – read the label
1. In the supermarket
2. When you unpack the groceries
3. When you open the packaged food

Do you need to update your CPR or your LVR/CPR? We still have spaces in this coming Saturday's class for our online CPR course as well as the LVR/CPR course. For this course you will complete the CPR practical component online prior to attendance at the practical session. The practical session is then held this Saturday from 8:30am-9:45 am.
