Wow, what a year! I can't believe we're half way through August and I haven't posted all year! I guess on the plus side, its because I have been super busy supporting local families losing someone special which has kept me away from planning and delivering more Death Cafes, but I do hope to have one organised for October.

If you have any need or interest in preparing for your own end of life (while you're well, which is the best time!) so wanted to share that I have been invited to return and deliver a session on Advance Care Planning in Bargo on August 27th, booking link below. There's no better time to prepare than right now! Planning done? Get on with living!!

I'm very happy to share that I will be hosting a Death Cafe in Bowral on 23rd October at 2.30pm at the Henrietta Rose Room at Bowral Public Library, followed by an Advance Care Planning session at 5pm.

A Death Café is a group directed discussion about death and dying, with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session, and is an environment where attendees can talk about anything relating to death and dying without fear of judgement, be it to understand what they or someone they love might face in the future, or to talk about their own experiences in the past. I always bring cake so everyone can enjoy a cuppa and something tasty.

Following the Death Cafe, I will be running an Advance Care Planning session, which aims to provide an overview of what an Advance Care Plan is, what an Advance Care Directive is, and the importance of both in communicating not only with family and friends who may be likely to provide future support, but also communicating with the medical world as to what treatments would or would not be acceptable to you should you experience a significant medical incident, and be unable to talk or communicate for yourself. This session also covers off on other areas, including the appointment of a Power of Attorney and an Enduring Guardian, and why it is so important to ensure you have these trusted people in place.

So if you would like to be able to "live" your life to the fullest by understanding what your options are, and putting some plans in place, then these sessions might be for you!

Feel free to share these details with anyone you think would be interested, and either give me a call on 0416 212 219 or email me at info@endoflifeangels.com.au. I hope to see you there!

So happy to read this and be filled with hope to be able to really advocate for those wishing to reach peace at home ❤️

Just read this interesting article from the Founder and CEO of the Violet Initiative. Her experience is one I try and help people to avoid - and the reality is, its a common story. There are so many people out there who think they have more time ..... until they don't!

Get in touch if you don't want this to happen to you or those you love!

Well its been an incredibly busy start to the year, providing support for 4 separate families on their individual end of life journeys - I feel so privileged to be able to provide this support and make a difficult time just a little bit less frightening.
Every single experience reminds me of how little we as a community contemplate the end of life stage we must all journey through, and our avoidance can cause so many challenges if end of life comes suddenly - because often this means we haven't "talked" to anyone about our wishes.
Monday is the start of the Seniors Festival in the Highlands, check out some of the great things happening in our community: https://www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/events-directory
I will be hosting a Death Cafe on Friday 15th March at Creative Space Southern Highlands from 2pm to 4pm. A second session is planned for Sunday 24th March from 2pm to 4pm at the Bowral Library.
I will then be hosting an Advance Care Planning session on the 15th from 4pm to 5pm - so maybe now is the time to take your own future into your own hands - and then live!
DM me if you'd like to come along and enjoy delicious treats while considering what it is you want!
