Tonight we joined at The Briars for Day 3 of 16 Days of Activism - “Light The Night”
Lanterns were placed to form the word NO, each one representing “a life, a story, a name” tragically lost in the past 11 months in Australia, 62 women & 24 children (courtesy Australian Femicide Map: theredheartcampaign.org)
The Chair of Pop In, Vicki Kelley, highlighted the need for community ownership to work together to say no & end violence in our region.
Pop In supports women & children navigating the trauma of domestic violence. Together they create partnerships to help build lives free from domestic violence & shape meaningful futures on their own terms.
Pop In has assisted 936 women in the Southern Highlands since 2021 providing ongoing care & resources in a safe & trusted environment to build skills & knowledge personalised to her needs.
Each month over 115 women & 22 children access a service offered at Pop In (courtesy: Pop In)
