*Maintain a healthy diet and weight.
*Remain active—under the supervision of your health professional.
*Avoid prolonged inactivity or bed rest.
*Warm up or stretch before exercising or physical activities, such as gardening.
*Maintain proper posture.
*Wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes.
*Sleep on a mattress of medium firmness to minimise any curve in your spine.
*Lift with your knees, keep the object close to your body, and do not twist when lifting.
*Ensure that your computer workstation is ergonomically correct.

MEET OUR TEAM

Meet Dianna Porter, our Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Specialist who works on Thursdays at our Bowral practice.

Dianna has helped many patients with pain, injury, stress, hormonal and fertility issues and has helped many women maintain their wellness through pregnancy, birth and post-natal. IVF support acupuncture is available and current evidence validates increased IVF success rates.

Dianna has a particular interest in helping with the side-effects of cancer treatment. Her doctorate involved a clinical trial for breast cancer patients experiencing hot flashes from cancer treatment and was conducted with the support of oncologists at three Sydney public hospitals.

Dianna’s treatments may incorporate acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese dietary therapy, cupping and electro-acupuncture.

MEET THE TEAM

Trish Emmerick is our Remedial Massage Therapist who works at our Bowral practice on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Trish has been a Massage Therapist and Reflexologist for twenty-five years and holds Diplomas in Remedial Massage, Reflexology, and Nursing. She also certified in Pregnancy Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki (both Usui and Seichem styles), and Hot Stone Massage. Her practice focuses on identifying the root cause of a client’s concerns, allowing her to tailor each treatment to the individual’s specific needs.

In her free time, Trish cherishes spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and her three dogs. Trish loves bushwalking, travelling, camping, spending days at the beach, swimming, playing tennis, cooking, as well as painting and drawing and spending time in nature.
