World Su***de Prevention Day 10th September.

Out of the Shadows Walk 2025 is on 10th September, with the money raised to enable Lifeline continue to provide 24/7 crisis support and su***de prevention services for those in emotional distress.
The Lifeline Crisis Supporters are volunteers who do work that is quiet and unseen, just being there for someone in their darkest moments, at the end of the phone.

It is almost exactly 3 years since our beautiful daughter Hannah chose to take her life.

For me this walk is a reminder that even in the face of our devastating loss, there is hope.
Andrew and I will walk together, to honour our beloved daughter , and those that chose to end their lives, to support those who are struggling , to help raise awareness, reduce the stigma, to remind people that there is help and support and to ensure that there are volunteers who can answer those calls, made in despair, desperation and suffering.

We will walk 9km to represent the 9 lives lost per day in Australia to su***de, and another to honour the memory of our beloved girl.

March is endometriosis awareness month.

We are fortunate in the Southern Highlands to have amazing health professionals that work in women’s health, including some amazing GPs, gynaecologists and Women’s health Physiotherapists.

Did you know that 1 in 7 women’s are impacted by endometriosis by the age of 49? It is so important to continue to raise awareness and talk about it, in order to break the barriers surrounding appropriate and well-timed intervention.

At Active Therapies, our Women’s health physiotherapists can help treat endometriosis related pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction.

1 in 3 people worldwide don’t have a toilet. Active Therapies has helped with promoting sanitation as a basic human right by “twinning” our toilet in Tanzania.
