🦈 Newborn Blacktip Reef Shark 🦈
This is a shot I took way back around 2010 while I was working at Living Reef on Daydream Island as a Marine Bio. These babies were born to our adult female Blacktip whose name was Bonnie. I remember after Bonnie birthed she was ravenous and so were the pups! The first time we offered them pilchards, which was within hours of birth, they smashed them! So incredible. 😍❤️🦈

Hiiii ✨ I’m Sarah, and I am here to walk beside you through one of the most powerful, vulnerable and life changing moments you will ever experience.

If you are preparing to birth in 2026 and you are craving confidence, clarity, unwavering support, validation, community and empowerment, this is exactly where you are meant to be.

Birth asks so much of you. It asks you to trust your body, your instincts and your voice, often in moments where those things feel hardest to access. You do not have to do that alone. Together, we make sure you feel informed, prepared and deeply supported every step of the way. When you understand your options and what is happening in your body, your confidence grows and that confidence changes how birth feels in your body and mind.

During labour and birth, I am there continuously. You are never left wondering if what you are feeling is normal, if you are allowed to ask questions, or if your needs matter. You are supported to slow down, tune inward, follow your instincts and make decisions that feel right for you. Your voice is honoured. Your feelings are held. You are never dismissed.

Your birth partner is also supported and guided throughout the experience. They do not have to guess how to help or worry about getting it wrong. I help them feel confident, connected and involved, while also making sure they are eating, drinking and resting so they can truly show up for you when you need them most.

Throughout pregnancy, I help you build the confidence to stand firmly in your autonomy and speak up for what you want. And during birth, if there are moments where finding your voice feels impossible, I am there to help communicate your wishes clearly and respectfully with your care providers. This support often becomes the difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling empowered.

After birth, I remain present to support you as you transition into postpartum. Gentle assistance with showering, changing and nourishment allows you to rest, integrate and recover while feeling cared for and safe.

Even with my constant presence, this birth will feel like something you and your partner achieved yourselves. You remain fully in control and fully immersed. I simply hold the space that allows you to stay connected, confident and supported from beginning to end.

If you choose, your labour and birth can also be documented through photography and videography. These images and films become a sacred record of your strength, your transformation and the moment your family changed forever. A reminder of your power that you can return to again and again.

This level of care does not end at birth. The confidence, clarity and empowerment you gain flows directly into your postpartum experience, supporting a gentler, more grounded transition into motherhood.

I have been offering doula support and birth photography since 2018, and I would be deeply honoured to support you through this experience.

As the year wraps up, I just want to say a huge thank you. 🤩

This year has been so full births, family photos, weddings, creative projects, plenty of face painting and full-time study!

Being invited into such personal spaces, whether through birth support, photography, or adding a bit of colour and fun to your celebrations, is something I never take lightly and I love it so much.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me, supported my work, shared my posts, recommended me or simply followed along. It truly means more than I can put into words.

I’m heading off to take a little break and will be away from today until the 8th of January. I’ll be trying to rest 🤣 as well as spending time with my people and recharging before stepping into the new year.

Also, as a photographer, I’m very aware that I definitely need updated family photos 😅 but there’s something really special about sharing the old ones too. They hold so much love and memories, and this one still makes me smile. Circa 2020? 😅🥰

The other day I was photographing a beautiful family at the Bongil Bongil picnic area and we stumbled across this adorable creature!
