Finally had the camera in the car and the time to stop to get a photo of this tree, which is on Wilson’s road between Bowraville and Macksville. This light was pretty, but the tree can look even more beautiful when it’s overcast and glowing, so hopefully I’ll get the chance to stop again in that light sometime! 😍🌲

Ahhh social media… how I love and loathe the.
No doubt that social media has enabled my business to thrive, providing a platform to perform and gain traction and succeed.
There’s so much information, art and perspectives at our fingertips here.
But, its iron claws can grip in hard.. pulling you in and under, wasting your time.
And AI, the things it can do - the good, the bad, the ugly.
I don’t know, it’s just not the same here as it was pre-covid. Anyone out there feel the same?
I definitely don’t share anywhere near as much as I used to, like there are so many beautiful, wonderful sessions that I’ve done this year that I just haven’t posted and I’ve been trying to figure out why?
For many, there’s kids involved and I have become uncomfortable posting children, even with their parents permission. It’s in my signed agreement when you do a session with me that I have permission to share images, but I always ask again after a session if it’s ok. If you say no, totes fine by me.
And I find myself asking less and less.
I always ask Phoebe if I can post her photos and unless she says yes (and she often says no) they’re for our eyes only. Maintaining her autonomy.
Am I just lazy and can’t be bothered posting? Maybe, this is my 10th year running my business, and I am tired 😂 but no, not sure it’s that.
Perhaps I’m just trying to keep it real, no influence, no pat on the back from the outside sources, no thumbs up, just genuine reflection on self and connection with my clients and knowing that’s enough?
Maybe it’s a big 🖕🏼to what’s become the norm.
Most likely it’s a combination of all of the above. Am I alone in feeling like this? What are your thoughts?

Gosh life can seem overwhelming at times! Like nearly all the time 😅 We are always told to prioritise self-care and to fill our own cup before filling others, and that’s so much easier said than done!
I don’t know about you, but it often seems like the balance between recharging and business as usual is way off! Do you agree?

You’ve probs already guessed, but I recharge in the ocean. How do you recharge?
