Meaningful travel always brings personal development and growth for me. An opportunity to reflect, away from normal life: see things from a different perspective; observe my habits and triggers and allow ideas and thoughts to surface.

I’m on vacation in Thailand until Wednesday 11 March. You can still book appointments online or via the Melbourne Therapy Centre.

A teishin is a wonderful tool and an important part of the Toyohari acupuncture tool kit. It is essentially a blunt needle and was described as one of the nine needles in the Chinese text the Ling Shu (The Divine Pivot) compiled around 1st century BCE.

It is not inserted into the body, but can be used with a variety of techniques to regulate the body’s ki (qi) and blood.

The teishin can be made in silver, gold, copper, platinum or a combination of these metals.

Its effect on the body is more gentle than a silver needle and therefore less stimulating. Because it is more gentle at regulating the ki and blood, it is often used in the treatment of sensitive patients, babies and children.

Three weeks ago, I committed to a simple morning routine—and the shift has been noticeable. I’m waking with more energy, sleeping more deeply, and feeling calmer as I start the day. Here’s what’s been working for me:
1. Wake up with the light
I get up when my alarm goes off, open the curtains, and let natural light signal the start of the day.
2. Hydrate gently
Two glasses of warm water to rehydrate and support digestion.
3. Move the body (5 minutes)
A short core sequence to wake things up—nothing intense, just enough to feel connected.
4. Cold water practice (5 minutes)
A yogic cold shower (Ishnaan) to invigorate the nervous system and build resilience.
More on this practice here: https://kundaliniyogaschool.org/2016/04/27/cold-shower-cold-water-ishnaan/
5. Meditate (30 minutes)
This is the anchor of my morning—creating mental clarity before the day begins.
6. Nourishing savoury breakfast
I focus on grounding, plant-based proteins: dhal with brown rice, bibimbap, or a chunky miso soup with brown rice.

Small practices, done consistently, can make a big difference.

What does your morning routine look like?

After 35 years of practicing meditation it suddenly occurred to me that the greatest act of self-love is the practice of meditation. OK, so it took me a while to realise this, but as they say, better later than never!

It's the greatest act of self love because you give yourself the time to rest in your true nature, which is pure joy, love, wisdom and enlightenment. You give yourself time to rest without distraction from social media, tv, mental chatter and the general busyness of life. It's pure self-love, because for the time that you are sitting, it's all about you!

My unique offering includes acupuncture + mindfulness/meditation + coaching. Book in for a free 15 minutes session to see if we are a good fit. xx

Today is R U OK? Day 💛 A gentle reminder to pause, check in with the people we love, and also with ourselves.

When life feels a little overwhelming, acupuncture can be a beautiful way to bring balance back to the mind and body. It helps create space to breathe, soften, and feel more grounded. 🌿✨

Sometimes the smallest step towards balance can make the biggest difference. Sending love to anyone who needs it today 💛

Seasonal allergies can leave you feeling congested, tired, and frustrated. Acupuncture offers a natural approach to easing symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, and blocked sinuses. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture helps to regulate the immune system, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation. Many people notice not only relief from acute symptoms, but also greater resilience during allergy season. Acupuncture can also support overall wellbeing, leaving you calmer and more balanced while your body adjusts to seasonal changes.

I often use moxibustion when treating allergies and there also some great herbal medicine formulas available as well.

If you are suffering with allergies, energy, immunity, I’d love to help you. You can book online and I offer a free 15 min consultation to decide if my services are right for you.

with love,
Lee-Anne

The moment you feel a cold coming on, act quickly — early intervention can help stop it from settling in more deeply.

Here are my top tips:

1. Make a Lung tonic tea – you’ll find the recipe in the Education section of my website.

2. Rest – this is essential. Slow down and give your body the space it needs to heal naturally.

3. Keep warm – pop on your favourite beanie, scarf and coat to protect your body from the cold.

If you find yourself catching colds frequently, you may benefit from acupuncture to help strengthen your Lung energy (Ki) and boost your immunity.

Book via the link in my bio.
Wishing you vibrant health!
