More research to support the outdoor work we do with Children 😊

Research Spotlight- Children with ADHD often face challenges with executive functioning, self-esteem, and learning — which can also place significant stress on families and caregivers.

New research highlights the impact of horse-based interventions when combined with speech therapy.
In a six-month study involving children with ADHD:

• All participants showed improvement
• Children who participated in horse-based intervention + speech therapy showed greater gains in executive functioning and self-esteem
• Caregivers reported a greater reduction in stress and burden

These findings suggest that horse-based interventions are a meaningful, evidence-informed complement to traditional therapies — supporting not only children, but their families as well.

We have had our last session at the equine therapy farm for this year ! Thank you everyone for your support and we really hope to continue into 2026. Wonderful feedback from all our guests and a huge thank you to Gladstone Regional Council and Walking4Warriors who have made these community mornings possible. Friendships have been made, relaxation and outdoor life styles and horsey connections have been rediscovered and enjoyed.

As a result of Everyday hero's podcast in June this year!! A beautiful and excited mum shared the kindy report with us this week. Or 3rd and 4th equine therapy workshops were a big success- the weather has been fantastic and everyone who came enjoyed their time distressing and spending some farm and horsey time 🐎 thanks to all who participated 😊
