Hi, I’m Tracey, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) at The Lactation Coach.

I have over 30 years’ experience supporting mums and bubs through pregnancy and the postnatal period, and I’m here to support you through your breastfeeding journey.

I’m passionate about supporting rural and regional families and offer home consults in the Canberra - Goulburn - Braidwood and surrounding rural areas, as well as online consultations for families anywhere in Australia.

I support families with pain or latch issues, supply concerns, feeding challenges, questions about pumping, combination feeding, returning to work and weaning.

I also offer antenatal education to help prepare you for those early weeks once bub has arrived

I work with you in an evidence-based, supportive way towards your goals and needs.
Whether things are going smoothly or you’re struggling and need reassurance, you don’t have to do this alone

In hot weather, breastfed babies don't require extra fluids unless for medically advised..
Your breastmilk already has a high water content.

At the start of a feed, your milk contains more water - so your little one may have short frequent drinks for hydration rather than a full feed for energy and fullness

Short 'snack' feeding, comfort feeding and night feeding are all common in hot weather.

Seek support if you're unsure or have any concerns

It may take a little compromise as you explore each other's traditions but it can be a great way to welcome the best parts of both families and shape it is to something special for your own little family 🎄
