Sad but true. Who would have thought that a woman who wrote a book about the power of love could be such a nasty, mean, hypocritical B***H! Totally ruins the magic 😒
The most frustrating part of JK Rowling being a phobe is that in writing the Harry Potter series, she clearly has an understanding of the ways that ideas lead to prejudice leads to systemic oppression and leads to 💀 for marginalized groups- but she carves out a special niche in her cognitive dissonance to pick on a marginalized group that’s less than 1% of the population anyway.
It’s absolute nonsense cause it’s not ignorance- it’s an active choice to be hateful.
Convincing yourself that cis women are more of a minority than trans ppl and a threat to womanhood is delusion and a commitment to fake news. Treating trans women like they’re “stealing” womanhood is clown shoes behavior.
Kinda like convincing yourself that muggle borns are a threat to the purity of magic or that any muggle born who’s magical must’ve stolen it, plot points from her books. It’s insane. 😒
Anyone making excuses for it can really fuque right off.
