We want to thank all the key players of this youth week event as we couldn’t have done it without YOU!

Good vibes, loud tunes and a whole lot of fun! This is your sign to pull up with your crew and kick back at Bribie’s favorite youth week event 💚

The Bribie Project put together for you:

🎤 Live music from talented local young people 🤘

🎧 headspace silent disco zone 💃🏽

🚲 Smoothie bikes (ride + blend your own with your friends) 🥤

🧠 Chill sensory space 🌿

🍟 FREE hot chippies + a soft drink

This event is all about bringing young people together, celebrating youth from every background and creating a space where everyone is welcome exactly as they are 🌈

It’s a chance to connect, build a stronger sense of community, learn about local supports available to young people, and help break down the stigma around mental health stigma.
This is a safe, inclusive, drug & alcohol-free space to hang, connect and vibe ✨

Headspace satellite centre Bribie Island will be closed for the Easter long weekend.
We will be closed on Monday 6th April 2026 and we will reopen on Tuesday 7th April 2026.

Even if you won't be able to access our centre or team, headspace is always there to support you!
You can call headspace national on 1800 650 890 or visit headspace national website to chat to a clinician or access additional support.

We are excited to host our first support group session of the year next week and add a brand new flavor to our groups 🦄

Join us for an hour of fun, chats, activities and great vibes

Hope you are ready for a 2026 full of wonder and meaning 💚

headspace satellite centre Bribie Island is back and so is VIRTUAL REALITY!
While reminiscing about all the fantastic engagements we had in 2025, we are preparing to sadly say goodbye to Edge of the Present and setting a new schedule for you!

Our last Virtual Reality sessions will be available on:

🪐 Tuesday 6.01.2026 from 10:00am - 2:30pm
💥 Tuesday 13.01.2025 from 9:00am - 2:30pm

To book your FREE experience please text 0417 108 080 so we can organise it for you in our headspace satellite centre Bribie Island.

Walks in are also welcome 🤗

If you’re under 18, we will need parent/carer consent for you to access the experience; to make it easier and accessible to everyone, we can email or text the link to your guardian to receive their consent.

Our headspace day 2025 celebration was WORTH the wait 😍

Today our headspace satellite centre Bribie Island celebrated headspace day for the year with our staff, Youth Reference Group and Family and Friends Reference Group members 💚

What a wonderful day to come together and celebrate the closeness and connections we built throughout the year.

We deeply thank our YRG and Parents for the unbelievable support they provide us with.
It’s such an honor to service our community with you all by our side 🙏🏼

BIG thanks to for the most magical set up. You made our event one to remember! 😍

what if we could radically transform the way we look at mental health?
 
UNSW Big Anxiety Research centre has offered headspace Bribie Island the possibility to take part in the Edge of The Present Project this year.
The research study aims to evaluate the impact of mixed reality experiences on mood, wellbeing and future thinking.
The study is pen to young people aged 12-25 who can experience multiple landscapes designed to be awe-inspiring and mesmerising.
Researchers want to understand whether this VR experience can increase positive moods and reduce negative thinking in adolescents and young adults. 
UNSW has organised VR to travel between all Youturn headspace centres and it’s now available in our headspace satellite centre Bribie Island.
So why not ask the local youngest female MP in the State’s history to visit our centre for an immersive experience?
Ariana Doolan’s passion for youth mental health goes beyond her age and her commitment to fight for our local community shimmers through every connection she makes.
Ariana visited the headspace satellite centre Bribie Island  on 24.11.2025 to experiment EOTP; she let herself be absorbed in each and every ambient, soaking both peace and mindfulness that these landscapes bring to the user.
When comparing her pre and post experiences, she shared that not only young people, but everyone could benefit from travelling wonderful realities like EOTP.
We are grateful for Ariana’s collaborations and we look forward to sharing our Edge of the Present with more young people on the island in January 2026!

If you missed it, headspace satellite centre Bribie Island hosted its first outdoor movie night event in Brennan Park and it was EPIC!

If you supported our event and enjoyed the movie chilling on your beanbag, we are so glad you were a part of it 🤩

Massive thanks to:

- PIEEC for being there and bringing along amazing vibes together with the much needed popcorn machine 🤪🍿

- Bribie Island State Library for the stall and lovely actives for all young people 📚

- Bribie Island satellite hospital crew for hosting their stall and playing footy with us 🏈

- Starry Nights Outdoor Movies for the most incredible screen set up 🎥

- our YRG and headspace team who put so much effort into planning and executing

- our terrific DJ Asher for the tunes 🎧🎶

- lastly, to our lead agency for letting us bring this event idea to life 🥰

We loved celebrating a year of mental health support with you and hope that the Polar Express helped everyone with getting into the holiday spirit 🫶🏼
