It has been absolutely gorgeous autumn weather here in this weekend β˜€οΈ And this happy Herbalist made a nice little Vervain harvest πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

Vervain (Verbena officinalis) has a rich history in Western Herbal Medicine but is not so commonly used in modern dispensaries. HOWEVER, it is a fav herb of mine to use in clinic! πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

I find the tincture can be helpful for people experiencing nervous system over-stimulation, for those high achievers who put a lot of pressure on themselves and also where the "wired" nervous system is compromising digestion 🍽 🧠

This humble, local, farm-grown harvest will macerate slowly into a tincture over the coming weeks πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

Throwback pic from the Regen Fest last week πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

I am passionate about ALL people having access to herbal healthcare, regardless of their background or economic status. That's why I founded (no longer operating, sorry πŸ₯Ί) and now have a Community Care branch to my clinic.

Sadly, I have found that people seem very skeptical of free offerings. They seem to expect some kind of 'pay-back' or 'catch' or something.

Isn't it sad that society has created this? I feel it is.

If I have a free Community Care offering, it come as that, care. No hidden catches. No expectations.

I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

And much gratitude to for their donations! πŸ’šπŸ™βœ¨οΈ

About Jen the Herbalist

Hello, I’m Jen the Herbalist. Herbs are my passion. I am a professional, dedicated and compassionate Herbalist, with experience in treating a range of health conditions in men, women and children from all walks of life. I firmly believe in the ability of herbs to help restore balance within the body and bring about an improved state of health.

It was through my own health journey, following a life-changing accident in my teens, that I came to discover my passion for natural medicine. Initially, I began studying Naturopathy, but I soon realised that it was the herbs I felt a special connection with.

I describe myself as a traditional Herbalist, preferring to use liquid formulas as much as possible. I love liquid formulas because they capture the synergy of the medicinal plant components and can be tailored to suit each unique person and their individual health condition. My philosophy involves assessing the whole person, not just the dis-ease, and I aim to address the cause of ill health, whilst providing symptomatic relief.

With a special interest in stress-related disorders, weight management and digestive health, aim to help my clients better understand their health and give them the tools to assist in adopting lifelong habits for optimal health and wellbeing.
