Here at Nick’s Straight Edge Painters, I work for myself and by myself. This ensures you are getting quality workmanship from start to finish. Based in the Adelaide Hills but more than happy to travel outside of this area.

I take great pride in my work and strongly believe in quality over quantity. To have past clients use words like: Precise, Pedantic, Professional, Perfectionist, Thorough, Meticulous, Committed, and a strong attention to detail to get the job done to the highest of standards. The feedback I receive at the completion of every job makes all the hard work worth while.

I completed this job in the week between Christmas and New Years Eve. This meant their business was not interrupted while it received a splash of colour and a fresh new look! A fun job to do for a regular client.

I love working on beautiful old homes. Lots of preparation work to be done before painting but the hard work is very rewarding when my clients are so happy with the end result!

Today is a special day on the calendar as it marks two years in business for Nick’s Straight Edge Painters!

But rather than making this a celebration post I would like once again to thank my growing client base who have been so loyal and amazing to work for. The positive feedback I get at the completion of every job and the joy my work brings you all is very rewarding for me!

Thank you to everyone who has referred and recommended me and I will continue to paint your dreams into a reality.

Stripped back to 1968.

This was a great project to do for our good friends at the M & G Hotel Group.

The real hero piece of this Job is definitely the original handrail which had 52 years worth of paint stripped off and exposed it's raw natural beauty!

The Ceilings and walls also got a white freshen up to provide a clean crisp backdrop to show case the original handrail.

It has been a very busy time since my last post! The support from the local community and my loyal clients is truly appreciated.

3/6/2020 was a significant date for Nick's Straight Edge Painters celebrating our 1st Birthday for the business! I never expected to be faced with a global pandemic or recession in the first 12 months but here I'am not just surviving but planning to thrive.

As for the photo attached to this post, it is a quick snap shot of 3 recently completed projects.

Top RHS: The third and final section of hallways has now been completed at the Adelaide Pulteney Motel.

Bottom LHS; It was great to be the last trade through to complete this kitchen renovation in Strathalbyn.

Bottom RHS: This was a full interior repaint of a 3 bedroom home in Mt Barker. With Good communication and a clear plan in place I was able to complete the job while my client lived comfortably in her home for the full duration of the project.

Top LHS: A big overdue thank you to First Cast (Graphic designer) for my business logo. They were so patient and easy to work with! I'am thrilled with the end result and I will certainly use them again.

This home renovation for "Bellevue Design by Paula" was so much fun to be involved in!

I was the last trade to work on this project and I painted the ceilings, walls and woodwork.

From the time I walked through and quoted an empty house, and then to be there at the end of the job and see a beautiful home is so rewarding not only for my clients but for myself too.

Seven Days A Week!

Since starting my own business in June 2019 it has been BUSY to say the least. I have essentially been practicing social distancing and self isolation for the past 10 months!

I have been working tirelessly to get my business up and running and I am determined not to let stop me from “Painting your dreams into reality”.

I would just like to take this moment to thank my beautiful partner, family, friends and my very loyal clients for their continued support through the first 10 months of business.

Everyday I am seeing great initiatives from small business owners just trying to survive this pandemic. We won’t survive without the support of the local communities. Please support local business we need you now more than ever!

A mentor once said to me “To work is a privilege”. I’ve been working and living by this advice for many years, and this has never read more true than right now.

I often get asked the question "How could you be a painter? Doesn't it get boring?"

My answer is in these Before & After photos, When you love what you do and your 100% committed to achieving the best results for your clients I do not have time to be bored!

Not every profession can showcase such incredible before & after photos of their work. I consider myself to be very fortunate and privileged to be able to share my work with you all.

With this function room having undergone some renovations, including a brand new bar, it made the tired old painting and colour scheme quiet outdated. I painted the walls, and woodwork in a clean and crisp Designer White. Making this the perfect function room for any occasion.
