Medical Clinic This means we have a commitment to general practice and to continuing medical education. Debbie is available Monday to Friday.

All the doctors in this practice have satisfied the training requirements of the RACGP and are on the vocational register of general practitioners. Dr Debbie Yiap has a medical degree, diplomas in obstetrics and medical acupuncture and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is a member of the Australia Society of Hypnosis and has an interest in counselling. Dr Narelle Binns has a medical degree from the University of Tasmania and is a Fellow of the RACGP. Her special interests include mental health, women’s’ health and paediatrics. Narelle is available all day Tuesday and Friday. Dr John Croatto has a medical degree and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has a Diploma of Obstetrics. John is available Monday afternoon and all day Wednesday and Thursday. Dr Diya Bucktowar has a medical degree and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has a certificate in Skin Cancer and has done a primary course in nutritional and environmental medicine. Diya is available Monday, Tuesday and Friday all day and, Wednesday morning. Dr Abraham Mass (Abe) graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1979. He established a busy General Practice in Ormond where he worked for the next 36 years. As well as General Medicine his special interests are psychological and wholistic medicine. He was honoured to be nominated for 'Australian of the year' in 2014. APPOINTMENTS
Consultations are by appointments which may be made personally or by telephone. The usual appointment time is 15min. If you need a longer appointment, please let receptionist know. Emergency cases will be given priority and some problems may take longer than the booked time. For these reasons, the doctor may be late but we will try to adhere to appointment times. Please request a longer appointment for the following:
Cervical Screening Test
Counselling
Care plans - Mental health care plan or chronic disease care plan
Multiple Issues
If in doubt please ask reception. RECALLS
The practice has a recall system for such things as Cervical screening, blood pressure check and cholesterol review. If you do not want to be involved with out recall system, please let us know. EMAIL POLICY
Encrypted emails are sent to patients using send safely. Patients are advised not to email practice as the inbox is not monitored.

We are very pleased to announce that we have Dr Hamish Scott starting at Thomas Street Family Medical clinic on the 2/12/2025. He will be available on Tuesdays all day for our current patients and he is happy to take on new patients.

Dr Hamish Scott graduated from Flinders University in 2006. Hamish has worked at Royal Darwin Hospital and served with the Royal Australian Air Force for several years. Hamish has worked in general practice in Darwin including work in Aboriginal Health before moving to Melbourne in 2016.

He gained Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners in 2011 and completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2015. Hamish is a CASA qualified aviation medical examiner and offers all classes of pilot medicals.

Interests include: Family Medicine, Men’s Health, Paediatrics, Aged Care, Minor Surgical Procedures, Aviation medicals

Due to unforeseen circumstances the clinic will be closing at 12pm today. Result line will still be open between 1-2pm for you to speak to the nurse regarding your results.

Dear Patients

Nurse Caroline who came in and helped us for a month and a bit has left Thomas Street to go back home to Ireland. It was sad to see her go as she was genuinely a great person. What this means for you

- Results over the phone will only be Monday, Thursday and Friday 1-2pm
AND
- We will only have a nurse in the practice for immunisations, wounds etc 3 days a week now

Dear Patients

We have a new nurse that started at Thomas Street this week her name is Caroline.

What this means for you:
- You will have a nurse available at the surgery 5 days a week, to help with your wounds, vaccines, BP checks etc
- You can call for Results Monday - Friday between 1-2pm
- You can make an after work appointment with the nurse for vaccines on Thursday till 6pm

If you have already met her that's great if you haven't you will : )
