Our team of 15 GP's offer specialised care across all aspects of healthcare including Men's, women's, family and children's health.

We’re delighted to welcome Dr Patrick Harbour to BFWC.
Pat is a Brighton local, and completed his General Practice training on the Mornington Peninsula.
He is interested in all things General Practice, including men’s health, geriatric care, and minor surgical procedures.
Outside of work Pat enjoys spending time with his partner and son.
He is starting at BFWC Tuesday 22nd July and will work Tuesday - Fridays.

Wednesday February 5th 2025 is Primary Health Care Nurses Day, when we celebrate the amazing work that nurses do in the community, including general practice.

At BFWC we are incredibly fortunate to have a team of wonderful, compassionate, and highly skilled nurses who provide excellent service and care to all our patients.

We would like to thank Julie, Tara, Fiona G, Kym, Fiona M, and Kealey for making each day at BFWC that much better for all of us and most importantly, for all the patients.

After 26 years of service to her community with Brighton Family & Women’s Clinic, Dr Maragret Rind is hanging up her stethoscope and beginning her next adventure.

Margaret started at BFWC back when we were located at Bay Street and is the longest serving member of the BFWC team.

Since starting with BFWC Marg has raised her daughter Cammy, welcomed two grandchildren, and dedicated her time to caring for all her patients.

Over her 26 years she’s always been a caring and compassionate doctor to all her patients.

Marg’s last day will be Thursday 20th June.

Please join us in congratulating her and wishing her all the best in her next adventure.

BFWC would like to welcome Dr. Emily Walsh to the clinic.

Emily will consult Tuesday to Friday and some Saturdays. She has special interests & skills in Health screening, Preventative health care, Womens health including menopause management, Mental Health, Weight management and eating disorders.

Emily is an experienced GP who works in a practical and relational style to achieve the best health outcomes for patients. She studied medicine at Monash University and has extra experience in paediatrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine.

Emily is an excellent diagnostician, communicator and coordinator of health care. After working for over 15 years in south eastern Melbourne she has links with local specialists and allied health. Emily is also an authorised prescriber of medicinal cannabis.

BFWC would like to welcome Dr Esther Gershenzon to the clinic!

Esther will initially consult on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm and every Saturday from 9am.

Dr Esther Gershenzon graduated from Monash University with honours. During her medical residency with Eastern Health she developed an interest in paediatrics and women's health, as well as in the care of people with multiple chronic medical conditions.

She is a fellow of the RACGP, and enjoys all areas of General Practice with a special interest in perinatal and breastfeeding support. She performs implanon insertions, minor skin excisions and iron infusions.

In addition to General Practice, Esther works as a Medical Educator with the RACGP and as an assistant surgeon. She has a daughter, and in her time away from work she enjoys spending time with her family, dancing and reading a good book.

It is with much sadness that we bid farewell our wonderful Wil!
Wil has been the pathology nurse at BFWC since the very beginning. In fact she is such a wonderful and valued member of the team that when we changed pathology companies many years ago it was on the condition that the new pathology company hired Wil.
Her replacement is the lovely JJ who many of you will have seen here over the last few months. We hope JJ will be with us for even half as long as Wil was.
We will miss Wil very much, and wish her all the best in her new adventures.
