Mums and Mini's classes are coming to The Lotus Room! Hosted by my friend and fellow yoga teacher, , this is a space where the nurturer is nurtured.

Join her for a 6-week journey every Thursday 10:30-11:30am designed especially for mums and their minis - each week begins with 40 minutes of postnatal-friendly movement to support your body after birth - with no pressure to “bounce back.” You’ll flow through practices that meet you where you are, with your baby safely by your side. We’ll explore a new theme each week and end class with 20 minutes of tea topics - the intention is to share, sip and connect with other mums who are in it with you.

Crying babies, feeding, soothing, and fussy moments are all welcome here. This isn’t about perfection - it’s about presence. My hope is that you feel as at ease as you would in your own lounge room.

What to Expect:

🤍Start date: 05/06/25 - End Date: 10/07/25

🤍Postnatal and beginner friendly movement

🤍Gentle pranayama (breathwork) to regulate the nervous system

🤍 40 minutes of movement + 20 minutes of connection over tea topics and weekly themes

🤍 A safe space where crying, feeding, changing and comforting your baby is completely welcome

🤍All props provided (you're welcome to bring your own mat if preferred)

🤍A practice that'll meet you exactly where you're at, no pressure - just presence.

Birth like a boss 👊

Runners pose opens your pelvic outlet by up to 30%. This is one of my favourite go to poses in pregnancy yoga. I couple it with a lean into the hip, taking a rocking motion, and this not only alleviates hip pain but opens the hip and prepares mum for an active birth.

I taught a hypnobirthing mum privately a few weeks ago mentioned that she thinks this might be the position for her, so we did some practice runs.

Do you know the Runner’s Pose position can increase your pelvic outlet by up to 30%? 🤯

In fact it’s the pose used in the Gaskin Manoeuvre to quickly resolve shoulder dystocia.

(PS: most hospital-based providers use the McRoberts Manoeuvre to resolve shoulder dystocia, which involves overextending the mother’s legs up to her head, and actually reduces the pelvic outlet). 🤔

📣 If your baby is “stuck,” or not descending, GET OFF YOUR BACK and change positions!

Try a pose like hands and knees or runners pose instead. Sometimes those few extra millimetres of space (and the help of gravity) is all baby needs to fit out.

“But my doctor said I have to push on my back!” 😔

Mama, it doesn’t matter what’s convenient for your doctor. It only matters what’s comfortable for you. 💁🏼‍♀️

As long as mom and baby are stable, there’s no reason you can’t push in whatever position you feel comfortable in!

In the shower 🚿
Sitting on the toilet 🚽
Hands and knees 🦓
Runners Pose 🏃‍♀️
Side Lying 🛏
Standing 🧍🏻‍♀️
Squatting🏋️‍♀️

Hire a provider willing to get down on their knees and support you in whatever position you choose to birth in!

With all my doula clients we do a mock LABOR PRACTICE where we practice all these positions - and more!

👉What’s your favourite position to push in?

What is this weirdo doing?

Often I teach deep breathing techniques during my pregnancy yoga classes, but as we become more and more pregnant it can be harder to discern the movements through the tummy as we take those juicy, deep breaths.

Another technique I like to try is placing your hands under your ribcage. When you feel the tips of your fingers start to move back then you know you have done the job (this does work best when lying in a supine posture).

I am so excited for this one! Mothers Day where I teach had become available. I toyed around with teaching a mums and kids class but I feel very passionately about supporting pregnant women and wanted to do something to celebrate them.

We are mums before our child is born. Think of the language we use around our pregnancy..."I'm having a baby"..."this child is keeping me awake at night with their kicking!" etc.

I think it's really important to honour the mother in all ways. And so I invite mums-to-be, even if you have had children before, to this event.

Together we will enjoy a yoga practice to shift pregnancy aches and pains, followed by a nourishing restorative yoga practice. We will enjoy an extended savasana to the sound of my crystal sound healing bowls and finish up with a hot drink and grounding snack.

You will also go home with a beautiful gift to celebrate your mothers day.

Places are limited so I encourage you to book for yourself or strongly nudge your partner or a loved one to book you in!

Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing by Candlelight. This last session was sold out and I am getting to be that way for this months event.

It is a restful practice that holds yoga poses softly for a longer duration whilst being lovingly supported by props like yoga blocks, blankets, cushions and bolsters so you can sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

During this 1.5 hour practice of deep relaxation I emphasis the meditative aspect of yoga and a focus on the breath, with every breath letting yourself surrender, letting yourself go of tension in the physical body, mind and spirit, and creating an inner landscape of spaciousness and love.

With our session being illuminated only by the soft glow of candlelight, we will enjoy an extended savasana to the blissful sounds of my crystal sound healing bowls.

This is a gentle yet powerful healing practice. Gift yourself time to reset and nourish your nervous system.

Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing this Friday is almost sold out!

I love, love, love teaching restorative. I consider it a high form of self-love.

No previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary. All props are provided but please feel free to bring your own if you wish. You may also wish to bring a notepad and pen to take note of any insights that arise.

You are encouraged to have dinner and a shower prior to attending, and if possible keep lights and noise low when you return home to extend the relaxing effect of our yoga and sound healing session.

Hope to see you there! Only a few spots left. Link in bio.

Supporting you through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Hi, I’m Amy! I’m a mumma of three, a pre and post-natal yoga teacher and a certified Hypnobirthing Australia™ practitioner.

I love supporting women through the full circle of their journey to motherhood, from pregnancy, to childbirth and then with babes in arms. My goal in life is to help women to feel good and maintain health during pregnancy, to replace the fear of childbirth with education, empowerment and confidence, and to support mums with babes.

I look forward to joining you on your motherhood journey!
