Dr Liam McCormick was recently honoured to represent Australia at a Global Leadership Meeting for Structural Cardiologists in California. An incredible opportunity to observe complex TAVI cases with world-renowned cardiologist Dr Saibal Kar at Los Robles Hospital in Los Angeles, followed by a round-table meeting in San Diego where leading cardiologists from around the world discussed recent advances in the field of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation.

Today we hosted an Academic Complex Pacing Device Implant workshop for 2 cardiologists visiting from Taiwan, Dr Chen Chao-Yu and Dr Lin Yen-Liang and Dr Yan Chang from China with their accompanying team representatives!
We showcased CSP and cardiac resynchronisation for heart failure, with some tricky cases, and excellent results.
A big thanks to VHH staff at Monash Health for supporting these invaluable international cardiology links!🫀

Dr Emily Kotschet was honoured to chair the Boston Faraday Symposium in Sydney with Dr Andrea Natale, a key opinion leader known AF ablation from Austin, Texas.🫀
He provided an incredible insight into future technologies to progress AF management with pulse field ablation.
She also had the pleasure of catching up with our newest electrophysiology fellow, Dr Francis Ha. He received his fellow of the Royal College of Physicians whilst also in Sydney, a huge congratulations to Dr Ha!🎉

This launch represents a significant advance in the care of people experiencing a heart attack or angina in Australia, and will help Doctors assess chest pain easily and streamline investigation and treatment.🩺
