Helen brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Brighton Spine and Sports team. You'll be able to find her in the clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Not sure what an Exercise Physiologist is? AEPs are university-qualified health professionals who specialize in using exercise as medicine. They understand how the body works and how to design programs that are safe, effective, and tailored to your unique needs.

With the end of the year fast approaching, we wanted to give you a heads-up on our Holiday Operating Hours.

🛑 Please Note: While our doors are open on select dates (check the image!), we'll be running a limited crew. If you're hoping to see your favorite practitioner, be sure to check their availability before booking, as they might be sipping hot cocoa elsewhere!

Our thoughts and emotions aren't just 'in our heads'—they have a real, measurable impact on our physical well-being, especially when it comes to pain.

When you're constantly stressed, anxious, or holding onto negative feelings, your nervous system can become heightened, sometimes making chronic pain feel much worse. This isn't just theory; it's the science of how your brain and body communicate!

Here are three simple ways to nurture your mind-body connection:

🔷Mindfulness: Take 5 minutes today to just breathe and notice your surroundings. This can help downshift your nervous system.

🔷Gentle Movement: Stretching or a light walk releases endorphins and reduces stress hormones.

🚶‍♀️ Coastal Walks: Take a long stroll or power walk along the Bayside Coastal Trail from the Brighton Bathing Boxes towards St Kilda or Sandringham. Incredible views are a bonus!
