My cabin buddy Jill from Atlanta USA was one of the brave ones to dive into the Polar ice of Antarctica. -3 degrees, apparently felt like knives all over your body.
Awesome memories even if I was just a spectator.❤️

I see many clients that have health issues due to their emotional and mind states. We can’t deny what we think we feel. When we think about something with pleasure our biology is affected as it is when we think self critically. When we are approaching an exam or interview we get butterfly’s in our tummy’s.

We exist as whole, body, mind, breath, emotions and personality. One impacts the other. So think about your health when your thoughts are calm, you’re emotionally intelligent and resilient and your body is pain free and strong……. You will find your health improves.

We are conditioned to swallow our feelings and get on with it but those emotions have to go somewhere. There are many ways to express and release your emotions…… yoga, conscious breath work and meditation are profound tools that process your thoughts and emotions. ❤️

Reflecting on my crazy adventure to Antartica I fully understand the depths of yoga and where it can take you. Once we connect with a deeper part of ourselves our experiences improve, our relationships improve our lives improve.
Everyone on the expedition (160) people were bursting with energy as we visited the largest wilderness in the world! Nature and high quality human connections is what brings joy into our lives, at the magnitude of Antartica it reminds us that we are very small in the vastness of the Universe. It reminds us we are not in control of everything, to let go of small insignificant worries and concerns but to embrace life for all it offers us. ❤️

This otherworldly adventure was beyond anything I can explain. When we took our first landing, stepping off the ship into the most extraordinary white wilderness tears just started falling….. our world is so incredible and to be present amongst an untouched, pristine deeply beautiful continent was seriously a dream come true. It felt surreal most of the time but the amazing humans on board connected in a way I’ve never seen before.

We are blessed to be part of the natural world, without it where is joy, without it where is real beauty, without it where would we be.

We must protect it as best we can otherwise we will be left with only concrete jungles and money. 🙏

  • Operating out of her Whyte Street studio in bayside Brighton, Founder and Principle Teacher Louise Godfrey has over 20 years of experience in her field. She is trained by world class yoga leaders and has been a celebrated key note speaker, most recently for the Australian Integrated Medical Association

  • Louise is multi-talented having written a children’s yoga book, “Hilda Does Yoga”, which is sold in local Melbourne book stores. She is currently undergoing study of the French language which she is integrating into Sri Yoga, instructing classes in French on certain dates of the year and also later this year in France

  • Sri Yoga & Meditation also offers annual yoga retreats within Australia and overseas, workshops, educational talks with visiting professionals in the wellness field, sound healing meditation classes, chanting and one on one yoga therapy.
