We threw a BBQ. Amazing people showed up. Then our director nearly sang...

Last week’s Anchored Care BBQ Bash brought fun, connection, good food and even better company. Our monthly BBQs are all about connection where we have a chance to celebrate, hang out, and share a laugh with our support workers, participants, and the local community.

This month, we honoured NAIDOC Week, with the incredible Lindy Link, Aboriginal Elder and former participant, who shared and reminded us of the importance of honouring the Elders of this land.

We also celebrated a few birthdays (happy birthday legends 🎉), ate too many sausages, and almost let our director Desire Ude take the mic for karaoke… almost.

Next month?
Rumour has it karaoke will happen. A few of our participants are already warming up their vocal cords. 🎤
